Excellent value for a functional hotel close to the City
Pros:

This is a basic but entirely functional hotel that offers good value for money in a location that is very convenient for the City of London. The air-conditioned bedroom and en-suite bathroom were spotlessly clean and, although quite small, perfectly comfortable, particularly once I’d asked for a softer pillow from the very obliging staff. I slept well. The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Bethnal Green tube, which takes you to Liverpool Street station in one stop on the Central Line and Bank in two. This was my second stay - it was nice to be recognised by the reception staff - and I shall stay again.

Cons:

Roman Road can be quite noisy, particularly with an open window, but with the window closed and a/c on, it was ok. The TV is not amazing, with slightly iffy reception, but as long as you like old Arnie films on Legend you’ll be fine.

Pros:

Nice night view from balcony

Cons:

Small double bed in tiny room, so uncomfortable for 2 average sized adults, hardly slept, shabby furniture, horrible pillows, small bathroom, shower pipe leaks and basin very slow to drain, fortunately we only had overnight bag, no room for large luggage (maybe on the balcony)

Friendly reception staff

Cons:

Photos are misleading. The place was clean but is a dump. No chair, no table, TV did'nt work, WIFI was patchy. OK for a one night stay but won't be back!
