Poor customer service and hidden deposit charges ruined the experience.

During check-in, we were asked to pay an additional deposit fee. However, there was no information on Booking.com indicating that such a deposit would be required. We informed the reception staff that, according to the booking details, no extra charges should be requested from us.

Unfortunately, the receptionist told us that if we did not pay the deposit, we would not be allowed to stay at the hotel, and even suggested that the situation was our fault. As someone who travels frequently and has stayed in many hotels, I found this attitude highly unprofessional and disappointing.

In order to avoid further issues and be able to stay at the hotel, I paid the requested deposit. However, the deposit has still not been refunded to me.

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding both the misleading information about the deposit requirement and the inappropriate behavior of the reception staff. I would appreciate a prompt resolution of this matter and the return of my deposit as soon as possible.

Lovely and comfortable especially for short stay-cations
Pros:

I was treated nicely and respectfully soon as I walked in. My booking was ready to go without any hassle either. They even took the time to explain the breakfast and parking situations. The room was clean and very comfortable, loved the bathroom presentation and living spaces. TVs came with different apps for you to plug your account in if need be. Beds clean and proper etc etc. I really have no complaints.

Great Place!
Pros:

Fabulous stay! Highly recommend with kids or without. Clean! High water pressure. They allowed us parking on site which was a huge bonus. Great little breakfast. Outdoor rooftop for dining on DoorDash pizza.

Awesome place for family
Pros:

The property was very clean … Being near the subway made my trip worthwhile .. Although there were a few vagrants in the area .. I noted that police officers were often in the area , which made me feel safe..,

Cons:

The breakfast selection … staying for 7 days which limited options made me miss breakfast at the hotel

Great hotel and wonderful staff
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay here for three nights while attending a conference in New York.
The hotel was very clean, my room was serviced every day, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The location was also very convenient - the subway is just a short walk away, making it easy to get around the city.
This was my first time staying in the Bronx, and I really enjoyed it. The neighborhood has its own unique character and energy that I came to appreciate during my visit.
If I return to New York in the future, I would happily stay here again. Thank you for making my trip so comfortable!

Cons:

The only minor downside was that the air conditioner was quite loud at night. However, it was a small issue and did not significantly affect my stay.
