Stunning hotel. Would stay again.
Pros:

The hotel reception and bar area were really welcoming and pleasant.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious and catered for all.

Cons:

I had request at the time of booking for early check in. I understand this couldn’t be guaranteed but was advised to check on the day. I was happy to pay the £10 per hour rate for a possibility of an early check in. The first member of staff I enquired with was extremely rude. She didn’t listen, just told me to come back after 3pm. Luckily another member of staff over heard this conversation and offered to follow up my request. Upon checking she was able to allocate us a room. I paid £40 and was very thankful, but disappointed I had been dismissed so easily by the first receptionist.

Perfect location.
Pros:

Stayed here a few times. Has been refurbished in the public areas since our last stay. Perfect location for our son’s graduation. Very comfortable room. Staff are very friendly helpful and professional. Great location for walking around the campus. Short bus ride to Nottingham city centre. Delicious buffet breakfast.

Cons:

Booking.com says parking spot is included as an extra. When we arrived we were told that the university has introduced a £6 day parking charge. They refunded this for us as booking.com description is misleading. They have been asked to change it but haven’t. I have contacted booking.com customer service but no reply to date.

Staying at the Orchard made our son's graduation extra special
Pros:

Clean rooms, efficient service, convenient for our son's graduation. Comfortable lounge area, attractive bar, good breakfast selection.

Cons:

The vegan sausages at breakfast could have been better, not just mashed veg but proper plant protein.
