The hotel is situated less than 10 minutes walk down hill to the busy town centre and beach. We paid a little extra to upgrade our room to an apartment for our family of 3. We had two large rooms and a big balcony overlooking the pool. There was plenty of choice food wise and the staff were all friendly. There were two pools that were quite busy but had room for everyone. We got involved in the hotel entertainment during the daytime that was organised by Dino. He made such an effort to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves and made sure it was appropriate for both adults and children. We did aqua fitness, archery, axe throwing, darts and pool among others. This really made our holiday and was such a great way to meet other people. Big thanks to Dino We had such a lovely time.
We had a great stay at Hotel Villa Adeje! The daytime games were lots of fun and the kids’ disco was a real highlight. A special mention to Dino, who was fantastic and made the activities so enjoyable. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend the hotel, especially for families with children.
After reading some of the reviews on this hotel, I was a little bit worried about coming here for my holiday, however I did not need to worry as myself and my family found the hotel to be great for our 2 weeks holiday in Costa Adeje.
There are lots of pros about this hotel and a few cons, hence the 4 out of 5 rating.
When we arrived the lady on reception was lovely and welcoming, explaining to us how the all inclusive worked as well as other information that we needed.
Prior to coming to the hotel, I emailed to ask for a room on floor 4 or above with a pool view. We were given a room on floor 7 with a pool view so we were very happy. The room was big and spacious for our family of 4. The room was also lovely and clean and the maids did a great job. Our towels were replaced daily, except on Sunday where there is no maid service.
We found the beds to be comfortable and we always had a good night sleep here.
We had amazing views for our balcony, which also had tables and chairs and a small washing line on.
We took a Samsung TV remote with us after watching a YouTube video where we learned that you have to pay a deposit for one. We paid the deposit for the air conditioning remote and paid a small refundable deposit for the room safe but you also have to pay €2.50 per day for the safe that is non-refundable. We didn’t bother paying for a kettle deposit as we are not bothered by not having a kettle in our room.
We enjoyed the food here, breakfast was always excellent, as was lunch and dinner. There was plenty of choice and the restaurant area was clean with friendly staff.
We liked the swimming pools and we were pleased with the children’s pool as it was perfect for our children. However, I personally did not like the artificial grass around the pool and think it would make the hotel look much nicer if this was removed and tiled.
The first week we were there, there was plenty of sun beds available by 8am but the second week we were there some families decided to put there towels out at 6am. They were never removed. We always managed to get sunbeds though, if we put towels out at 7:30 am.
You have to pay €2 for a parasol around the pool. I have never known a hotel to charge for a parasol before and thought that they should be free. If you want a comfortable sunbed topper, you have to pay for this as well, but we didn’t bother as the sunbeds were fine.
The snack bar was great, and my children enjoyed being able to get ice-cream on demand. There was burgers, hotdogs, pizza and toasted sandwiches available from here as well. The drinks were absolutely fine with lots of choice. We packed some plastic reusable cups as well read that the paper cups that the hotel supply by the pool were small, which they were.
The hotel has a small games room/arcade which my children were very pleased about as they could go and play air hickey, racing games and another game. We didn’t know this existed before our holiday so my children were very happy indeed to go in at night and play in here. The games cost €2 a time.
The evening entertainment wasn’t the best, but we did enjoy the snake show and the parrot show. You have to pay for the photos that are taken by the people who run these shows. There are a lot of singing acts here and some of them were pretty bad. However, a couple of the male singers were good.
My children enjoyed getting their faces painted and the lady who does this was lovely and friendly, however the kids mini disco, which only happens twice a week was disappointing. My children were unimpressed with it compared to other hotels mini discos they have been to.
The day time entertainment wasn’t that good either as there was only one man doing this and there needs to be a bigger team of people. Dino seemed to only speak to certain families and ignore others and not ask if you wanted to join in.
The majority of the staff here are lovely and hard working. The hotel is in a great location and close to the beach, shops and bars. We also thought the hotel was very clean. There are two lifts, a jacuzzi and a sauna, which you have to book.
It is also very close to Aqualand, so we walked to the water park.
The reception team will phone for taxis for you if you need one.
We wanted to keep our room on as we had a late flight and check out is at 12. We were willing to pay the €80 extra to do this but unfortunately our room was not available for us to keep on.
We were advised of the courtesy room and luggage storage. We asked to book a time slot for the courtesy room but were told there is no need. It turned out the ‘courtesy room’ was just a room with showers and toilets. The room smelled like drains and was unfit to be used for a shower. My husband reported this to reception and was told we could use the shower in the sauna room instead if we wished.
The courtesy room is also the luggage storage room, so be aware of this if you leave your cases in here as other people who are also leaving can walk in and out of here as they please. It would be better if there was a separate, locked luggage room.
Overall we enjoyed our holiday. There are more pros than cons and the hotel was absolutely fine for our holiday to Tenerife.
this hotel was put in a very good location w accessibility to walk to the beach front and water parks and many excursions were nearby. i think the food was lovely and i have no
complaints . there wasn’t much for kids to do for
activity’s at night but many of them made friends and spent there time doing there own thing and the older kids managed to
play pool or hang about somewhere . the rooms were cleaned everyday except Sunday’s like it was stated this involved is
having fresh towels each day the only downfall is that a 16 yr old had to share a room w her parents which was a bit of a hassle and as we asked to move her we got a no . but overall lovely hotel and lovely staff who helped you with anything you needed. i also
saw complaints about air-con situation and wifi . air-con u got your money back as soon as u return the remote and as for
wifi i just used my data from home so i didn’t see any issue’s
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vila de Adeje and would happily recommend it!
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the pool area and convenient location. The kids especially enjoyed the games and face painting programme with Dino, and our little ones absolutely loved the kids’ disco it was definitely one of the highlights for them!
Great value for money and a lovely experience overall. Thank you to the whole team for making our Tenerife holiday so enjoyable! ☀️🌴
An average 3* hotel. You get what you pay for. Poor evening entertainment, and nothing for the kids either through the day or at night.
Breakfast was adequate, snack bar ok, drinks ok, evening meal very average, we mainly eat out.
Would I stay again: no.
We just cameback home from a 10 days break, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, most of The staff were friendly and polite, Vicky was very funny, our son enjoyed very much The games daytime with Dino, Parrot show and snake show were great, some great singers night time, we Will be back next year for sure.
Just came back from one week brake, we enjoyed our vacation there. Very clean hotel, helpful staff and entertainment activities with Dino.
Dont waste your hard earned money on this hotel we stayed as a family of 4 adults and 2 children room on same floor but different ends stayed 28th July to 4th august right where do I start staff not very friendly found some rude have to pay for internet €15 per room it doesn’t work or connect loads of people complaining was told just to keep trying till you check out to be told no refund had to pay for tv remote and air conditioning (not sure how much)also the parasols round the pool €2 a day saw 1 entertainment staff round pool with a dart board and darts in the full week we was there no entertainment at night just a singer in the background nothing for kids no clubs or mini disco etc
Food at breakfast was not bad lunch and evening meal was absolutely disgusting same thing over again 1night it was all different fish and pork ribs in sauce the only meat on we ended up eating out 4 times for evening meal never had to do this before being A L tried the snack bar in pool area who do burgers hot dogs and ham/cheese toasties 1day the burgers and hotdogs were not cooked properly and the toasties were like warm bread never saw a jet 2 rep all the time we were there be very careful if you have little ones in kids pool as we found 2 loose tiles which was sharp handed in to lifeguard who just put them on the table he was using we had floor tiles in both rooms loose and a broken chair in room went to reception to tell them about broken chair said it would be sorted out the chair was still in the room when we checked out still broken.
Disgusting hotel never again
Bad when you're writing a review on the coach leaving such a dive!! I think 1 star is too much for this hotel!! As a family who have always done all inclusive this hotel has put me right off! The food is the same every day nothing changes, some meats aren't cooked correctly which was worrying as we had children with us, paid for WIFI which never worked I told the receptionist on a number of times and was told they would sort it, on leaving the resort I told them to which I was told we can't refund you now as you are leaving! I wasn't the only family on this day complaining either, you have to pay for umbrella & mattress for sun lounges which is ridiculous, Aircon and Tv remotes have to be paid for! entertainment well that's the wrong word as it is just a singer in the background. There is nothing on for the family throughout the day, we had to go out most days and nights to find our own entertainment and food which is just not what you want when you pay for all inclusive. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone it was CR*P. If hotel wish to contact me my room number was 507 stayed 28/07-04/08
Fantastic holiday as always Dino the daytime entertainment is always such great fun
Great hotel friendly staff and entertainment
Great location short walk to the beach and some nice bars
Lacking atmosphere, staff friendly could be bit livelier
Dino is great with morning activities has made the holiday
Room ok spacious and clean but needs little work as sockets loose and lights affected when you plug in travel plug
Value for money have had better but it is what ya make it
Food not the best and not great selection
No issue with noise basic night entertainment that finishes by 11pm then just background music till 12 in main bar
Have to pay for drinks in bar from 11pm
Overall could be better
Just back from here, and it was a great two weeks. The measures the bar staff pour are “hospital” material, mind you. A few days lost as a result! Food was ok, what you’d expect from a 3*. They absolutely love fish & pork though, it’s on EVERY day. Staff were lovely, attentive too. Only drawback with the pool bar is that they provide you paper cups. Not very appealing, drinking out of them, so but your own plastic ones from one of the shops across the road.
fantastic experience, staff all wonderful and very helpful. Entertainment was ok different singer each night and kids entertainment. Hotel spotless and maids are in daily except sunday! Food was as you would expect for a 3 star however it was edible and could find something everyday to eat without issue. Drinks were fine also no complaints apart from strong measures! overall a brilliant holiday was had and we will defo be back!
We arrived early at the hotel to be greeted by a lovely polite receptionist our room wasn’t ready until 3pm she gave us our all inclusive wristbands to use straight away. once we got in our room which was on the 7th floor very clean plenty of room.
Found two faults which got sorted in no time.
Food plenty of choice for each meal.
Pool bar and snacks good choice
Pools are lovely.
Hotel staff are so friendly.
Great location.
I would recommend this hotel especially if you are with a family it’s great
But I loved it
Location is ideal for bars, restaurants, shopping mall and a 10 min walk to port of colon harbour and fanabe beach. You are right on the main road, so easy access for bus and taxis but can be busy. Hotel, try and request floors 4 and above and 2 and 3 are underneath the pool with some rooms having a view of a wall and it is apparently dark. Rooms are basic and you have to pay for A/C, a tv remote control and a kettle. There was a kitchen in our 1 bedroom apartment. It was big enough. We had to move the sofa bed near kitchen as its tight getting to the balcony between sofa bed and tv/tv unit. I didn't mind the food to be honest, but not a huge selection. The snack bar is only opened 10 till 1 and 4.30 till 6. I think the snack bar needs to be open all afternoon as some like myself dont like having lunch inside. Especially after swimming etc. Just wanna chill by the pool. You have to pay for a parasol at €2 a day from reception which is stupid. The sun is at the pool area all day. Staff seem laid back, no issues. They do entertainment every night. Drinks are very selective for all inclusive and icecreams. I found the Drinks are very watered down. I brought my own flasks and they had no issues filling them up for whatever I wanted. Would I go again, probably. It was cheap enough. You'll need to reserve beds as people are leaving towels over night with no one removing them. Annoyed me some families were reserving 5 or 6 beds and then going to the beach or sian park. Why?? Listen, we went as it was cheap, my son and partner didn't mind it. My son didn't like the food but we didn't mind it. We did plan on eating out alot anyway. Dont be fooled too much for the hotel considering its a 3 star I found this better than the Jacaranda in Costa adeje which was a 4 star!
Bit of a mixed review for this hotel. Firstly, the staff were brilliant. Every question we had, they answered politely and were helpful. In the restaurant, they were always attentive and polite. The rooms we stayed in were fine, large with small kitchen, separate sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. In our room, the smell from the wardrobes was disgusting. Best way of explaining, wet sweaty feet! Ended up living from our suitcases. As for the views, its a split between excellent views (4th floor and above) or "prison" views (3rd and below). Unfortunately ours was a prison view on the 3rd floor. Could see a small view of the sea next to a run-down building, lots of security fencing and barbed wire. Those below us only have a wall, so we couldn't complain. You have to pay for lots of things, the safe, wi-fi, air conditioning, TV remote, parasols and cushions for the sunbeds. Meals ranged from acceptable to poor. Breakfast was the usual catered for English, sausage, bacon, eggs. This was fine. Lunch and evening meals.. some nights lived on plate of chips. You could see some nights where people tried a meal, found it inedible and left it on their plates. Breaded chicken breast is a good example (overcooked with too much garlic). The restaurant itself is always clean and presentable, although the men's toilets needs work (two cubicles, one the light didn't work, the other didn't have a seat!). The drinks were watered down alternatives, drinking vodka felt the same as drinking coke. Pool snacks were fine, the toasties are really good. Finally the pools. Great that there are two pools, water is freezing regardless of what time of the day it is. Sunbeds have the usual towel coverings at 8:00am (they say towels are monitored and removed if not used. This is not the case, we saw four beds taken at 8:00, not used all day), but we managed to get one everyday. The layout is strange due to the underground rooms needing ventilation, spent a week sunbathing looking at a brick wall. Music was good but agree with some reviews where some life guards were just there to be seen (will say one lifeguard was good and attentive). Evening entertainment was hit and miss, the layout of the room wasn't the best so unable to get a decent crowd.
When sunbathing around the pool, heard on several occasions guests saying the same as the above.
In summary, positives:
Majority of staff are brilliant. No complaints.
4th floor and above, great views.
Some food is good.
Two pools.
Negatives:
Need to pay for simple extras (cash only).
Some food is poor.
Mediocre entertainment.
Pool area is cramped with blocked off views.
3rd floor and below, not so good views.
If you are visiting to go out each day, including eating and drinking, its a great place to stay in an excellent location. If all inclusive, like ourselves, and you stay above the 3rd floor, great views, but for everyone and everything else, not worth it. Its just below average, would mark it a 2.5 if possible.
This hotel seemed far more focused on generating extra income than guest safety or comfort. You are charged €2 for a parasol per day, yet when a lady was struggling in the pool, the lifeguard showed very little urgency or concern. The lady had to be dragged from the water by other guests before the lifeguard slowly walked over, appearing completely unconcerned. It was genuinely upsetting to witness.
There were also numerous frustrating extra charges, including €10 for a TV remote and €15 for air conditioning (refundable but hit your cash)! Smoking and vaping were common around the pool and neighbouring sunbeds, with no intervention from hotel staff despite complaints. Reception staff were dismissive and uninterested when concerns were raised.
Food quality was very poor throughout the stay. Chips were regularly cold, food from lunchtime appeared to be reused later, chicken breast was undercooked, and overall choice was very limited. One particularly frustrating issue was the alternating breakfast options between omelettes and pancakes. Omelettes were clearly not in high demand, while pancakes disappeared almost immediately and more were constantly being cooked. It gave the impression that pancakes were restricted to every other day not for guest preference, but simply as a cost-saving measure. On one occasion, veal was also left sitting out for around an hour.
Meal times were restrictive, with dinner only served from 7pm–9pm, breakfast from 8am–10am, and lunch from 12:30pm–2pm. Another inconvenience was that cards were not accepted in many situations, meaning guests needed to carry cash constantly.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience with poor customer care, questionable food standards, and a clear focus on charging guests extra wherever possible.
Very clean. When checked in was down in the basement, requested a move Eleanora was amazing, very helpful and pleasant. Moved us the next morning on the same floor as reception, which was great as we then had no stairs
