Pros:

The location was excellent! A few miles from downtown and walkable to restaurants, stores, movie theater, lots to do even if you don't want to really get in the car and leave the hotel

It was good except for room refresh.
Pros:

I liked the comfortable beds, and clean shower with no mold

Cons:

We needed trash pickup and room refreshment but that did not happen. I stayed 2 nights no cleaner came through to refresh the room.

Nice very clean, comfortable new hotel in a good location near restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

Did not have adequate closet space to hang long dresses. Do not like looking at clothes hanging on wall hooks

Pros:

It’s close to shopping and restaurants. It’s also close to Monticello and James Monroe’s highlands. It’s also very clean and nicely decorated with thoughtful touches

exceeded expectations.
Pros:

Breakfast is well above average. very clean room, very nice to have the beds made and fresh towels. They were encouraging and accommodating for our World Cup watching needs in the lobby. Pool was lovely. Great temp in and out. Fitness center well taken care of. To go containers were available for breakfast when we needed to eat and run.

Cons:

Coffee. It was hot and fresh but just not flavorful. would love some flavored coffee creamers available. would love if breakfast started at 0600 on weekdays.

Great for overnight stay
Pros:

Overall the rooms are nice and clean. There is not a restaurant or bar currently. There is an actual bar top and chairs but no bartenders and no menus only grab and go. Breakfast was fair same things each morning and the food was not temperature hot. Alex, the front desk attendant was kind.

Loved Hyatt Place Charlottesville
Pros:

An outstanding experience! Lovely location nestled in a pedestrian and dog friendly outdoor mall environment, near parks and trails. Fresh and clean property with on-site parking, laundry facilities, coffee/breakfast, outdoor patio space. Loved the little touches like cold water dispenser in the gym and soft gym towels!

Clean and safe. Walk to shops, eating and movies
Pros:

Very clean. Spacious rooms. Safe area with many shops, restaurants, theatre in walking distance. Well lit parking lot. Key card needed to enter building for safety. Good breakfast with hot and cold choices. Special shout out to the very nice staff. I forgot my medication in the fridge and was already halfway to airport. They were able to mail it back to me same day! Thank you!

Cons:

Renovation team working in front lobby on one day but the staff made a temporary front desk workstation to accommodate guests.

Would not recommend
Pros:

There was leftover food from a previous guest in the microwave, which immediately made us question the cleanliness of the room. We requested a new room, but although we originally booked a shared-room experience for our family, we did not receive that same setup after being moved. The situation was frustrating, but the customer service response made it worse. The attendant was barely apologetic and showed little compassion or concern for the inconvenience.

We travel to Charlottesville often, but based on this experience, we will not be staying here again.
