Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.

Foreign business travelers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

Un alloggio ad Aguas Calientes deve avere alcuni servizi fondamentali: colazione alle 5 del mattino, acqua calda e una posizione vicina alla fermata del bus. Tierra Viva ha tutto questo, più una serie di plus che meritano il voto massimo: una struttura silenziosa e accogliente, ma soprattutto un servizio estremamente competente e disponibile.
Nel nostro caso abbiamo completato il tour del Machu Picchu entro le 10, e ci è stato concesso di fare comunque colazione a quell'ora. Sono proprio le persone alla reception e il servizio ristorazione a rendere questo albergo super consigliato.

One of the windows from my room was a bit broken (could not close) and you could hear all water from the river besides mosquitos bite me all my neck during the night. Next day during check out they didn’t ask me how was my stay.

Tierra Viva Machu Picchu is an excellent hotel and a great place to stay. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle, making it peaceful, yet it's less than a 5-minute walk to the train station. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
Our standard room was comfortable, but the top-floor suite was outstanding—more like an apartment, with a long balcony, seating area, and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The complimentary breakfast was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
A major convenience is that the second bus stop for Machu Picchu is located right outside the hotel, making it easy to catch a bus without the crowds at the main departure point.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the hotel. The suite is on the expensive side, but if it fits your budget, it's well worth the upgrade.

noise from the street and the river. We had to wear earplugs, as the windows are not soundproof
Also there was an electricity box in the wall in the room that made a lot of noise
Le personnel de la réception est très avenant (réaction à une demande de modification d’une chambre pour la transformer en 2 lits au lieu d’un).
Chambres très spacieuses avec vue sur la rivière, on s’endort au son de l’eau de la rivière, apaisant avant une rude ascension !
Pas de possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner avant 5h mais on a reçu une lunchbox.

Machu Pichu, nice restaurant on site, close to train station, bus stop to Machu Pichu and main town area but far enough away that it was quite peaceful. Would recommend and stay again.
