Love, Love, this hotel. It’s quiet and it’s like a sanctuary in the heart of Antigua, close to the Santa Catalina Arch. The breakfast was also amazing!

My only note is not to book the car service the property works with for the airport OR insist on leaving earlier than the time they give you. He didn’t leave enough time for traffic and when we asked him to take a different route to bypass an accident he wouldn’t. Had we not had our flight delayed we’d have missed it.
This first class, small hotel is organized around two lovely courtyards with fountains and mature plantings. Located two blocks from the central plaza it’s an oasis of calm within walking distance of everything.
Generous rooms are thoughtfully decorated with a mix of Guatemalan, Asian and Turkish antiquities and rugs.
Delicious breakfasts, lovely helpful staff—we were here two nights and can’t wait to go back.

170€ la noche y la habitación era muy pequeña, sin aire acondicionado, sin secador, productos de baño muy limitados. Para el precio del hotel, no tiene ningún lujo como puede ser piscina, spa, gimnasio. Desayuno limitado igualmente. No me ayudaron para trasladar el equipaje a la habitación. Muy mala relación calidad-precio.
Great hotel in the heart of Antigua, next door to the Arco de Santa Catalina. We lived the court yard in the centre where we had a wonderful breakfast next to the water feature. Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet, with no noise from the traffic outside.

Incredible stay, what an amazing hotel, location, and staff courtesy. From check in, to check out, everything was 100%. The breakfasts are awesome and the courtyard sitting area stunning, don't miss this hotel if visiting Antigua.

The fact that you had to press a bell for staff to open the main door everytime you came back to the hotel.
San Rafael is a beautiful hotel in the PERFECT location. It is steps away from the Arch yet once inside, you feel transported away from the hustle and bustle. The courtyard is beautiful and the perfect setting for a delicious breakfast. The breakfast includes coffee, juice, fresh fruit, and a made-to-order dish from their menu. We stayed in room 1, which was glorious and had an incredible shower. Do note that there is no A/C in the room and it does get stuffy. We were provided a fan which helped. Room 1 is right off the courtyard and if you wish to have some fresh air in the room, your privacy will be compromised a little. The hotel also arranged a hotel pick-up for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We enjoyed our stay to the fullest! We love the property! It was a calm oasis in the heart of the town located directly in front of the arch. Perfectly located for access to restaurants and our breakfast each morning with the view of the garden was magical. Beds were so comfy and the rooms were spacious!
