Pros:

Viihtyisä hotelli keskellä vanhaa kaupunkia, siistit modernit huoneet, pysäköintialue ihan vieressä, kiva pieni kylpylä, monipuolinen aamiainen.

Hectic, impersonal, slightly hostile - stressful and not worth my expenditure.

Cons:

Bad daytime staff, unpleasant spa staff, staff that first acknowledged the problem with the spa so that without having to make any complaint myself I was recognised and felt seen and welcome again, this only then to change completely as another staff seemed to be friends with the spa staff and had heard about it and seemed retaliatory behind the other other employees’ back - and then finally some rumour so when I had another unexpected problem everyone seemed to have classified me as a dishonest or difficult guest and didn’t mind letting it show… even though I remained soft and kind.

Also the curtains were stained with big stains, it was not sound proof and I couldn’t sleep in as people were talking normally in the next door room, the bathroom carpet was thrown into a corner and not folded when I got there, the bed linens were not correctly put on the bed more like they had been thrown on. The spa experience really was as mentioned anything but relaxing in general and it felt like going to a public pool instead of relaxing in a 4 star hotel - such a shame with these beautiful facilities!
The mini bar was according to managerial stuff turned in to storage as a strategic logistical replanning process step - which would then explain naturally why the drinks in it were about 30C - or she may have not have wanted to admit that my mini bar was broken? I am not sure… I was also told by management on spot that there were problems with staff and vacancies or what not, and training issues.

My perspective is that it felt like a combination of a hectic gas station customer experience and a public spa, and I had no chance to recover from fatigue and just feel welcome and relaxed on this night - which would have made a large difference for me and which was exactly my purpose for booking this 4 star hotel.

Aamiainen oli hyvä ja monipuolinen. Hotellin sijainti oli mainio vanhassa kaupungissa. Autolle löytyi maksullinen parkkikauppa kadun toiselta puolen hotellia vastapäätä. Vanhan kaupungin nähtävyyyksiin pääsi kävellen.

Cons:

- Suihkussa oli todella matala vedenpaine, joten suihkussa käyminen oli vaikeaa ja ammeen täyttö olisi vienyt paljon aikaa. Vettä piti valuttaa kauan, että sai lämmintä vettä.

- hotellin viereinen parkkipaikka oli koko ajan täynnä, joten oma auto piti jättää vajaan kilometrin päähän ja kantaa tavarat sieltä

- aamupala ei ollut valmis aamiaisajan alkaessa, mikä sekoitti omaa aikataulua

Pros:

Gebucht wegen der guten Lage (an einem Eingang zur Fußgängerzone) mit Parkplatz gegenüber (wenn etwas frei ist) entsprach das gepflegte Hotel der *** Kategorie. Zimmer zum Innenhof (wegen nächtl. Straßenlärm) war geräumig und komfortabel. Frühstück schmackhaft und abwechslungsreich. Servicepersonal ausgesprochen freundlich. Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen.

Cons:

Das beantragte ruhige Zimmer zum Innenhof lag genau über dem Außenbereich eines Gastrobetriebes und war am Wochenende bis 1 Uhr nachts selbst bei geschlossenen Fenstern unerträglich laut (Musik und feiernde Gäste).
