Pros:

Lovely small hotel near the centre of Ipoh. Walkable into town or short Grab ride. Room was clean and very comfortable. Lots of quirky decorations. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel
Pros:

Comfortable room, toothbrushes and toothpastes available, gym and self-service laundry was very handy. Only a 20 minutes walk from the main attractions in Ipoh. But because it's a bit out of the way it's also quiet. Free parking at the back.

Cons:

Ironing board is located in the hallway which can feel a bit intrusive when someone walks by and see you ironing your clothes. But not too bad. When walking at night to and from the hotel be careful of stray dogs.

Pros:

Friendly and polite staff. Great location. Complimentary carpark for hotel guests. 1 washing machine and 1 dryer. Gym.

Cons:

A bit small and lighting needs to be improved. Water heater not as warm. Wifi intermittent issue.

A lovely surprise in Ipoh.
Pros:

The decor at the M Boutique is pretty cool, or at least it was in the lobby and on our (first) floor! The staff were also very helpful and attentive.

The beds were very comfortable and because of the high ceilings, the rooms felt bigger than they are, which was nice!

The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were really good too and smelled nice and fresh.

Cons:

There seemed to be limited hot water in the bathroom shower and the hotel does not have a kitchen. Breakfast at the bff cafe next door only starts at 9am so until then there’s only the coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

If you have a car, it’s a good place to stay in Ipoh.
Pros:

All round, a good 4 day stay. Hotel is “boutique” and has its own character, with furnishings, lighting, floorboards. The 2 onsite restaurants were both decent. The room was okay and shower was good. Had onsite laundry, but wait time for the one washing machine can be long.

Cons:

The property is a little out of the way from main attractions. A short Grab ride or 15mins walk. The one person room is a little on the small side, and then over furnished and the desk cluttered, making space a premium. They need to create a ticketing system for use of the single washing machine.
