Pleasant hotel with rooms furnished in mahogany-colored wood, including wooden floors. Very clean, and everything works perfectly. Celina is very helpful. The hotel could use some modernization, but that is not an issue. We had the family room with a balcony, and it was spacious and worth the price. The location is at the heart of Old town with everything available nearby. Very busy area exacteliy how we wont it.
We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely return. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the staff were amazing. Mimi deserves special recognition for her kindness and support.
The location is very convenient for sightseeing and dining. The hotel is on a wide street, making it easy to get around. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. Celina is very friendly. The breakfast is delicious and offers many choices.
The hotel is centrally located and quite small compared to other hotels, but it's very well-equipped. The rooms have Wi-Fi, a TV, and are very clean. The hotel offers free breakfast. What I liked most is that from here we could easily walk around Hanoi's Old Quarter.
We all felt very comfortable staying here. The spacious room had a balcony with a city view and was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, so I didn't have to worry about anything. In addition, the hotel served a delicious and varied breakfast.
The highlight of this hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone was kind and helpful, especially Mimi. She assisted us with restaurant recommendations and booking transportation. The location is perfect for exploring Hanoi on foot. The room was clean and very comfortable.
We booked one of the rooms with a balcony, and it was definitely worth it. Sitting outside and enjoying the view of the Old Quarter was one of our favorite moments. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options. Mimi was always attentive and made our stay smooth and enjoyable.
We stayed here for three nights and felt very welcomed. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which is very important in Hanoi. Mimi was exceptional – she helped us book a Halong Bay tour and even checked in with us after to make sure everything went well.
This was our first time in Hanoi, and choosing this hotel made our trip much easier. The staff were always ready to help, especially Mimi, who provided us with a lot of useful information about the city. The breakfast area has a lovely city view, and the food was fresh every day. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.
The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was modern, with wooden flooring and elegant furniture. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the quiet environment despite being in a busy area. Mimi at the reception was very professional and friendly. She assisted us with transportation and always greeted us with a smile.
We had an amazing experience at Hanoi Royal Palace Hotel 2. The location in the Old Quarter is simply unbeatable – everything from restaurants to attractions is within walking distance. Our room was spacious, very clean, and filled with natural light thanks to the large window. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection, both local and Western dishes. A special thank you to Mimi, who was incredibly helpful and always made sure we were comfortable. She helped us arrange tours and gave excellent local tips.
The room was small but clean and comfortable. The location was excellent for tourists in Hanoi old quarter. Breakfast was included and was very good.
Our room had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the city. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were incredibly kind. Mimi made our stay even more special by helping us arrange tours and giving great recommendations.
The internet connection was reliable and the room was spacious enough to work. The breakfast buffet was served in a bright restaurant with city views. Mimi at reception provided excellent service and helped arrange transportation to my meetings.
I recently stayed at this hotel in March 2026 after booking through a popular Hotel booking platform website, and I feel compelled to warn others that the listing is completely misleading.
The photographs and descriptions presented online bear little resemblance to the actual condition of the hotel. The images appear heavily edited and possibly photoshopped, giving the impression of a modern, well-maintained four-star property. In reality, the hotel is in a poor and neglected state barely meeting a TWO STAR HOTEL standard.
The room I was given was entirely substandard. It was not properly cleaned, with visible signs of dirt and general lack of upkeep. The furnishings were old and worn, and the windows were rusted and even broken in places. The bathroom was particularly disappointing — the toilet flush did not work properly, the rain shower was non-functional, and the handheld shower had extremely low water pressure, making it barely usable and black fungus in the shower area.
Breakfast was equally unacceptable. There was a very limited selection, unclean tables, only 5 or 6 tables available and with with basic items missing — no butter was available, and the jam provided appeared old and of very poor quality, resembling little more than sugar. This falls far below even basic expectations, let alone those of a hotel claiming a four-star luxury rating. TWO STAR AT MOST.
Another major issue is accessibility: the lift is only available from the second floor, which is highly inconvenient and completely inappropriate for a hotel advertised at this level.
Overall, I would struggle to rate this hotel even TWO stars, let alone the four-star “Luxury VIP Access” status it is advertised with all major hotel booking websites. The discrepancy between what is marketed and what is delivered is unacceptable.
I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere, as this experience was extremely disappointing and far below standard.
The only saving grace is the staff as they are very helpful but unfortunately cannot possibly make up for the immense shortcomings of this hotel.
Please stay away from this hotel.
It is fine if you are expecting a 2 star hotel
The room was much nicer than we expected for the price. Clean, bright and with a great city view. The breakfast buffet was also really good before heading out for the day. Mimi helped us plan some activities and was super friendly.
The hotel is charming and well located in the heart of the Old Quarter. Our room had a balcony overlooking the street which we enjoyed very much. The staff were professional and attentive. Mimi in particular was wonderful and made sure we were comfortable during our stay.
Everything felt newly renovated and very well maintained. My room had a comfortable bed and a nice view of the Old Quarter. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied each day. Mimi was extremely helpful and always had a smile. She helped me organize a day trip and gave useful local tips.
