Decent place to stay for the value at the perfect location central to everything
Pros:

The room was good for the price, awesome location cebtral to all the things! 30 mins from boon, 12 mins from banner elk, right off the ski slopes, lots of activities extremely close by but not *busy* feeling, still had the quiet country charm.

Cons:

Only downside was the matress. It was pretty uncomfortable, didnt sleep much.

It was not worth the money at all.super out dated, it’s a dump! Csnt imagine charge peak ski season

The location and that’s it

Cons:

It was a dumb. Very out dated. Doesn’t even have AC. They say being in the mountains you can open the windows as it naturally cools down. Hahaha. Well it’s still summer time in NC and even the mountains gets hot. They supply a box fan. How nice. Place was old, had cracked tile in bathrooms, rust stains behind sink. The price was pricey for what I walked into.

It was horrible experience.

Cons:

Rooms were super hot when we checkin. We didn't get any resolution and had to leave because kids were not able to stay in the room. Outside exit door seems broken and unlocked, felt unsafe in the remote location without any staff. I would not recomend this property for sure.

Nice old hotel in Beech Mtn
Pros:

Great location friendly staff. It is an old hotel and has some charm. The hotel has no AC. You dont need it at 5000 ft elevation, open the windows and it will be amazing. I had no problems in early July. Low 60s at night and just leave windows open.

Cons:

Nothing, also note it has free laundry for guests.

Pros:

Staff friendly and helpful. Location convenient to our event, Shuttle stop up to the mountain right out front. Having a dishwasher was a plus.

Cons:

This property has seen better days. Carpets were stained. Faucet in the kitchen of our unit was leaking water badly when turned on, so we rinsed dishes and filled water bottles at the bathroom sink to avoid turning the faucet on. No AC, but had a ceiling and window fan that helped.

Outer doors left unlocked at night with no staff on premises. Older but clean building could use some updates.

Pros:

Stayed in both the corner suite (largest unit available) and an efficiency (smallest unit available). Both are well kitted out for a self-sufficient stay with full kitchen, nice bath tub for soaking after a long day or hard work (or hard play).
