Good basic accommodation
Pros:

Pretty location, though far from town, about a 20 min drive. Breakfast was fine. Room was a good size. Staff was nice. Parking was included. Definitely need a car in this location. Views from dining area were beautiful.

Cons:

Hotel could use an update, most evrything was older. Bedrooms were basic, as was everything. For what youre paying it could all be much nicer. More breakfast options. Prices in restaurant were very high for basic food that was not great.No housekeeping provided.

Good 4star + breakfast option in Reykjavik on affordable price
Pros:

Great location on the shore of a lake - actually best view of norther lights from Reykjavik.
Very good breakfast offering - nice seating area and lounge.
Friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

Quite worn down building in general - the family room is probably one which had no renovation (standard rooms look modern on the picture)
Sauna was not working off season
Heating was not working in the living room - staff was very nice giving us a mobile heater
The road to the hotel is a mess - deadly potholes everywhere

Eclectic hotel.
Pros:

The lake was pleasant and the staff was helpful and willing to accommodate last minute changes to our itinerary.

Cons:

It’s very eclectic 1970s decor and dark, even though remodeled. While the lake is nice, it’s in an odd location in a neighborhood. Not sure if it was because end of season, but the same staff handled everything at the same time.

Nice Hotel with 20min drive from Reykjavík city center
Pros:

Good breakfast.
Good water pressure in the shower. Friendly staff and a lake view.

Cons:

We stayed two nights, and the rooms were not cleaned (and the towels were not replaced). I don't know if this is Hotel policy.

Pros:

We really liked the location of the hotel. The lake was quiet. The breakfast had many choices and everything was tasty.
We especially liked the hot tub and the sauna after a tiring day on the road.
