Comfort Suites Marietta-Parkersburg

The carpet had a few dirty patches. I'd have preferred them to use china crockery and silverware rather then disposable, but at least the bowls were paper rather than styrofoam. Also would have preferred the juice to be from a machine rather than individual plastic pots.

There was a bad odor of pet urine and visible spots all over the carpet very dirty

We specifically reserved a room for the pool for a 10th birthday roughly an hour and a half before arrival We went to the front desk and was told not one butTHREE amenities were not available and they had no control with the false advertising from booking website. They immediately apologized and cancelled my reservation but said I had to contact booking for a refund. I’ve tried multiple times but booking is extremely difficult to deal with in customer service. I’ve been unsuccessful after multiple attempts to get them to understand I wasn’t at the hotel 5 minutes before we went to the one next door who didn’t falsely advertise nor did I use booking again. Terrible experience. Will never use again nor recommend. Lesson learned and I will provide receipts, times, communication on every public website possible. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. . AFTER reading another review booking had plenty of time to update the website to say the pool, hot tub, laundry service and air conditioning wasn’t available. I hated to leave a negative review towards the hotel but with the aggravation of dealing with booking I felt this was my only option Choice hotels should remove themselves from being able to book a room through booking.com I travel ALOT and have never dealt with so much lack of customer service.
Update—. You’re completely joking with your response. Host us in the future? Not a chance. Such a joke. You obviously need that $$ you falsely advsrtised for because that’s the last penny booking or choice hotels will get from me! Sorry for the bad review but you earned it 😊

Very hot in lobby and hallways—no a/c working in those areas. The pool was not in service either! Quite disappointing…

No pool, no hot tub, no laundry. The carpets were very stained and dirty. The elevator stopped working.

Pool, hot tub, washer/dryer all out of commission. Hotel waited to tell me at check in. Had to change rooms late at night due to dog in next room howling and barking. Rooms have a smell to them.

carpeting in the room was badly stained and dirty!
Needed to be replaced or a very good shampooing.

The outside area by the hotel smelled like sewage when walking my dogs

Our room was dirty, dusty, the sink didn’t drain well. The worst part was finding the sheets on our bed were stained with blood. We didn’t discover this until we had slept under them all night. How disgusting is that? We did report it when we checked out. The clerk just nodded her head. We did take pictures of the sheet. We have always had a good experience at Comfort suites but this was disgusting and nobody seemed to care.
