The location was very nice. The room was comfortable. Very impressed that when Tv wasnt working to watch the World Cup final that we were very quickly helped and moved to another room. We were checking in late and it was lovely to receive a call to let us know where to pick up the keys for our room.

Cons:

We liked it. It had everything we needed...just missing on little things that would make a difference e.g some biscuits in room. Being asked if we would like anything else to eat or drink in the restaurant area but think they had a new trainee who was very nice, but still learning the ropes

Great place for a one night stop over. Friendly, comfortable and better than expectations.
Pros:

Staff went above and beyond without having to ask. Especially the person who checked us in and out. Even making sure we had a fan and a little fridge for milk that was needed for dietary needs. Without even asking! Amazing, thank you.

Decent stop over on journey north
Pros:

Stayed for one night on a journey further north . Nice spacious room with comfortable bed and good shower area. Lots of road noise outside but non inside. It's prime focus is as a wedding venue but we had a nice evening meal in the bar area with a wedding reception in an adjacent area. Breakfast was efficient and we were soon on our way.

Cons:

The price! £154 for B&B not great value for money

Wedding venue/hotel a short drive from Gretna
Pros:

Primarily a wedding venue in the countryside north of Gretna in a converted mill and farm. Quiet when we were there midweek. Ground floor accommodation blocks. Plenty of free parking. Restaurant and bar. Freshly prepared breakfast. Friendly staff.

Cons:

4’6” bed was too firm and a bit small for us.
