It has loads of Protential but I Will never stay there again ..
Pros:

Location was easy to find

Cons:

Bathroom door was broken ,shower curtain had mold on them..only gave 2 flat pillows …corridors smelt like a care home 🤦🏻‍♀️…no one at the reception half of the time …flickering spot lights during the night even though the lights where off..woke me up 5 times..I was in room 19…the person in room 17 kept shouting and banging on the walls till 3am ..I had a terrible night

Cons:

I booked two rooms. The bed sheath were dirty with stain and marks on them. The rooms had spider webs so the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned, spiders on ceiling visible.

Pleasant staff , uncomfortable and outdated rooms

Staff are lovely and very welcoming

Cons:

The location of the property isn’t great , the beds are very uncomfortable , only 2 sockets tv and kettle so no where to plug phone in near the bed.
The walls are covered in marks and the bathrooms are very outdated .You also have to book in for parking that only lasts 24hrs , I tried to do it before we went out but I couldn’t do it until the first 24hrs were up and we had a taxi waiting , luckily the man at reception said he would do it and I wrote down the reg and time but this isn’t very convenient when your out and about . I carnt fault the staff they were very pleasant and welcoming but the hotel needs updating especially the beds !

Highly neglected hotel that has potential to be very good
Pros:

The building layout design was very good with specious rooms, when it was first built many years ago. But, it had deteriorated to beyond liveable conditions on the ground floor with extremely bad damp and mould, especially the first room we were offered (No 12). The damp smell was unbearable, so the staff kindly offered us one on the first floor (No. 20), which was a bit better. I would highly recommend the entire Hotel to be refurbished after the necessary damp proofing work with new carpets and decorating. I would also recommend a health & safety executive visit for public safety as the property has been neglected for basic repairs and maintenance for many years. I would certainly not use it again (even for free) until a full refurbishment has been carried out.

The hotel was very convenient for our stay in the area.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was close to relatives we were visit in in Middleton.

Cons:

Shortage of plugs for phones etc.
