Absolutely amazing place!
Pros:

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Everything was simply perfect: the design, the aesthetics, and the cleanliness. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast was fantastic, the lobby was beautiful, and the onsen was a wonderful place to relax. I will truly miss this hotel.

The only thing I had to get used to was the windowless room. At first, it felt a little unusual and slightly claustrophobic, but after a while I adjusted to it and it didn't affect my overall experience.

I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Pros:

We adored this hotel! The location was simply amazing. We didn't realize it at the time, but we had booked right around the Gion Festival period. The hotel is pretty much in the center of all the festivities, and we had a great time checking out the beautiful floats. Lots of yummy food and cafes nearby as well.

Pros:

The room was on the 3rd floor and it was fine for the 3 days we were there. It was during the Gion Festival which was right outside the hotel so the timing was perfect. Daily housekeeping and the Japanese Bath were wonderful.

Cons:

I don't think you could open the windows nor were there any views because the windows were fogged out.

Aesthetically pleasing hotel with hospitable staff. Profoundly comfortable.
Pros:

Phenomenal hotel. Upon entering, you are met with a lush, green garden courtyard and extraordinarily welcoming staff. This hotel is aesthetically pleasing and the rooms have a thoughtful layout. Free amenities (razors, toothbrushes, q-tips, etc), and FREE nespresso capsules in the lobby were much appreciated. Soaking in the carbonated water of the giant tub in the bathhouse was the perfect way to end the day… I slept so soundly, and look forward to returning. This was the BEST of all the hotels we stayed at in Japan.

Nothing to dislike.

La camera con due letti era accogliente, senza armadio come in quasi tutti gli hotel giapponesi, il bagno aveva la doccia stile onsen e vasca con inclusi i saponi, il wc separato dal resto del bagno.
Siamo stati bene, lo staff molto gentile e onsen piacevole.
La zona carina con classiche strade dí piccole dimensioni e ci sono diversi ristoranti nelle vicinanze.
La colazione più salato e giapponese, poco nel reparto dolce.

祇園祭の巡行の日にお世話になりました。鉾が通過する合間は中で涼んでいる私たちに、スタッフの方々が鉾の到着を知らせて下さるご親切に感謝でした。暑い中、皆様のお気持ちにに頭が下がりました。こちらに宿泊できて良かったです。また、レストランのスタッフの方も親切でした。
