The view from our room was breathtaking. The hotel and our room itself was very clean and cosy. The hotel location itself was perfect with the lake and a kid's playground 100 meters down the road. I also loved that the coffee shop and Mexican restaurant were attached to the hotel so you could just walk down without having to put layers of clothing on. Or if you want to cook, the communal kitchen on the ground level is fantastic. The staff were all super friendly. Definitely a place I'd recommend.
Honestly nothing comes to mind
I am a repeat customer. Wanaka Hotel is located in the heart of Wanaka within walking distance to excellent cafes and shopping. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are efficient and helpful.
This evening I struggled to find a park. A large bus had parked accross the parking bays and took up a a number of the parks. Parking is at a premium in this area and I almost missed out on a park which would have created an unforeseen problem. Maybe they should rearrange the parking area to create a bus park, and reduce the impact of buses on other guests.

No lift. Very little hot water for showers.
Great location, good value for price, close to town centre excellent parking. Clean and affordable compared to ther accommodation available. Staff very helpful.

The room was extremely clean. The quality of the housekeeping was outstanding. Bathrooms were spotless. The washers and were great for us trekkers as we had a lot of laundry after two weeks in NZ. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were a bit tight, but very workable. Parking was a bit confusing on arrival but after finding the rear of the building it was easy to utilize. Everything else was great.
The staff is very helpful. We left our baby stroller near the lakefront and they were able to help us to find the stroller and stored it at the reception.

Modern fresh clean and simple rooms with great heating and a lovely mountain view.
There were no spaces to get together other than the rooms, and no drying room for wet ski clothes and boots.. A communal lounge and fireplace would have pushed it to 10/10 for me.
