The hotel staff definitely made our stay in Rome special
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and in a good location. We reached all of the sites by foot and a good selection of restaurants were within a 10 mins stroll. What made our stay was the staff. They were always so friendly and polite, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I didn't realise I needed a copy of my passport for ID when I booked for the Colosseum tour but I made a phone call to the hotel and they immediately emailed the copy they had on file to my phone. The staff definitely made our stay special.

Cons:

Although our room was double glazed, the noise of sirens late at night and deliveries early in the morning woke us up.
The breakfast was very limited, although very nice.
My main complaint was that, as with all modern hotels, the room was very dark. It was not easy to apply make up due to the harsh overhead lighting. There were no mirrors near any windows, so I could not use natural light. Also, there was very limited space to either hang or store clothes. It was definitely style over substance.

Central location but tired property
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and tried to be very accommodating. The room was clean with high ceilings. Location is accessible to many central attractions.

Cons:

The hotel is located in a narrow street facing a station guarded by officers with machine guns. We covered our windows by curtains since the staff in the building across the street could view everything in our room. You could hear the street noise at night, although the street traffic at was relatively low at night time. The room furniture appeared dated, although clean. Streets in the Pantheon area surrounding the property are not very clean.

The best city break we've had
Pros:

Hotel was excellent, loved it. The location is superb all the main attractions within walking distance. The breakfast was great, small but perfectly formed as was the hotel itself.
