As an essential security measure to protect both our guests and our hotel guests may be required to present valid identification upon check in.
All guests under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by adult.
In the situation where a reservation was booked online, and the guest cannot provide valid ID or that ID states that the guest is under the age of 18 years of age, the hotel has right to refuse admission.
As a security measure and to prevent any potential fraudulent transactions the credit card given at the time of booking must be the same card that is produced at the time of check in with the appropriate guests name on the card.
Group T&Cs : When booking 3 rooms or more or reservation of over 5 nights , different policies will apply and the customer will be contacted by the hotel with more information.
10% Non-Refundable Deposit is to be paid within 5 days of the reservation date. The balance to be paid 60 days prior to arrival.
If the above payment terms are not met , The hotel reserves the right to cancel of the booking.
No-Show Policy:
All guests who do not arrive on their scheduled date of arrival are considered No-Shows.
No-show reservations will be canceled and charged for the first night, as per the Talbot Collection booking policy.
Once a room is released due to a no-show, there is no obligation to hold it for subsequent nights.
If a guest arrives the following day, the booking may be reinstated at management discretion.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Just an excellent stay all round. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very cosy, bed comfortable and public areas well laid out.
Staff, the food and location
No air-conditioning, just a fan in the room
We had a 3 night stay in the Talbot Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We asked for a fridge for our room to put cold drinks in and when we came back it was there plugged in for us. The staff are truly exceptional. The breakfast was excellent with such a variety on offer. We had dinner too and the roast beef was wonderful. Great location for visiting Clonmel with a bus stop outside and only 10 minutes into town for €1.50 each. We would highly recommend it for a great stay. Bring your swimming things for a dip in the pool(swimming hat needed) hot tub, sauna and steam room, fabulous start to the day. We will be coming back.

Sehr schönes Hotel, großes Zimmer, sehr sauber, tolles Frühstück, freundliche Mitarbeiter.
Bei geöffnetem Fenster hat das Geräusch des Generators etwas gestört. Das betrifft wahrscheinlich nur wenige Zimmer, die genau zu dieser Seite liegen.
Location, fabulous scrambled eggs
Unfortunately, what was served was extremely poor and far below what anyone would reasonably expect from an afternoon tea. The food had clearly been sitting in a fridge for a considerable time. Several items had a distinct fridge taste, and the edges of the sandwiches were curling and dry, indicating that the bread was stale.
Not only was the quality unacceptable, but the selection itself was very disappointing. The smoked salmon was served on ordinary sliced pan bread, and the most substantial item on the plate was a plain ham and cheese sandwich made with processed sliced ham and cheese rather than freshly prepared ingredients. This was not reflective of the standard one would expect from a hotel offering afternoon tea.
I was so disappointed that I asked to speak with the manager. To his credit, he apologised and acknowledged that the food was of a very poor standard. As a result, we left without eating any of the food that had been served.
This experience completely spoiled what was intended to be a birthday celebration for my sister. Given the time, effort, and travel involved, I feel this level of service and quality is simply not acceptable.
I had a Classic Afternoon Tea event that was given to me as a mother's day gift. My husband and our friends also a couple came. We enjoyed the miniature desserts, delicious variety of small hand sandwiches and tea and coffee as much as we wanted. It was an enjoyable time with friends and the staff and the atomosphere were terrific and helpful. I would definitely do this again as a celebration.
Our room was superb, spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was nice. The staff however, were brilliant, very friendly and kind, yet remained professional. A special mention for the manager MARK, also KATRINA and LEAH who were super kind and helpful to me when my husband was taken into hospital.

Modern hotel conveniently located (for us) on the edge of town (Clonmel) with a 30 min walk or short drive (there's plenty of parking) into the town centre.
The hotel is lively, with lots of events and a busy bar/restaurant but this did not impact on the service. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice - food typical of the area with generous portions cooked well.
Room was a good size and beds comfortable. The room was quiet on two of the three nights we stayed - one night we needed to call reception because there was so much loud noise from above at about midnight - this was sorted efficiently by the staff and the noise stopped.
