Nice place, quiet, good location
Pros:

The staff were nice, helpful and efficient.
Hotel is close to the train station, easy to find. Area is pretty safe and very quiet.
There's a convenience store nearby, a 7Eleven (24h store) next door, close to Little Italy with lots of nice restaurants.

There's coffee at the lobby, PLUS a decent coffee machine in the room.

The included breakfast is modest, but it's okay for the price: 3 kinds of mini-pastries, 2 kinds of fruit yogurt, cheese sticks, oranges, red apples (I might be forgetting something).

Cons:

Room was a bit small, but since I was traveling solo, it met my needs. I think the room size was very reasonable for the price, but if you're a family of 3 - you need something bigger.

As for the coffee machine in the room: you might want to BYO half-and-half/milk (maybe get some at 7Eleven), because the provided creamer is the powder kind and it's not as great.

Sconsiglio vivamente l'Urban Boutique Hotel di San Diego. È stata un'esperienza terribile sotto ogni punto di vista, a fronte di una spesa decisamente elevata.

Ecco nei dettagli perché dovresti girare al largo da questo posto:
Il titolare/gestore:
Una persona di una scortesia unica, profondamente antipatica e per nulla ospitale. Zero orientamento al cliente e totale mancanza di educazione.

La camera (una trappola):
Ho pagato una cifra altissima per una camera doppia per tre notti. Il risultato? Ci ha rifilato una stanza minuscola, dove ci entrava a malapena una persona sola. Un loculo stretto, claustrofobico e, per giunta, bruttissimo da vedere.
Foto sul sito non veritiere o comunque ingannevoli

Pulizia inesistente
Su tre notti di soggiorno, la stanza è stata pulita una sola volta e solo dopo nostra richiesta
Inaccettabile per le tariffe che chiedono.

Colazione indecente:Chiamarla "colazione" è un insulto. Qualità pessima e scelta ridicola.

L'ansia del check-out: Il giorno della partenza, a soli dieci minuti dallo scadere dell'orario di check-out, il titolare ha iniziato a tempestare il telefono di chiamate per sollecitarci a liberare la stanza. Una pressione cafona e totalmente fuori luogo.

Il paragone con un classico motel:
Per assurdo, durante il viaggio abbiamo voluto provare l'esperienza del classico motel americano sulla route 66: abbiamo pagato una frazione del prezzo dell'Urban Boutique e abbiamo ricevuto un servizio nettamente migliore, stanza più grande e molta più cortesia.

La posizione
L'unico aspetto minimamente decente è la vicinanza a Little Italy. Per il resto, l'hotel è comunque lontano dal centro storico, quindi non ha nemmeno questo grande vantaggio strategico che possa giustificare il prezzo.

Rapporto qualità-prezzo scandaloso. Servizio pessimo e gestione irritante. Non buttate via i vostri soldi

It’s amazing to me what is considered “boutique” these days
