We've stayed at Zuiver for 3-4 nights at least ten times over the past several years. It is our #1 choice for a relaxing spa trip. We've been there in January, February, May, August and September so we've experienced it all times of year. Our favorite times are spring, summer and fall when you can still sunbathe outside but it is nice as a winter break too. The hotel is not fancy but it is comfortable and convenient. The on-site restaurants are very good and there are two or three other choices within walking distance, plus numerous others accessible by bike. The spa is outstanding. We stay in the hotel section across the parking lot and walk to the spa in our robes. In summer, we use their on-site rentals to bike through Amsterdame Bos, an adjacent forest area with excellent walking and biking trails, swimming spots (for kids), and various other outdoor activities including concerts in summer. We have been to numerous other spas and spa hotels in the Netherlands, Belgium and northern Italy but we keep returning to Zuiver because we love it and it is only 15 minutes from Schiphol by taxi.
The only downside is you have to walk about a kilometer to access the metro (maybe one-half kilometer to access the bus system) so with luggage, you really need a taxi ride. We've walked it and it is totally safe and accessible--but a fairly long trek. However, if you enjoy their textile-free days (Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon), which we do, you really don't need to pack much because you can literally stay in your robe all day.
Excellent hotel and spa, food at spa is premium quality and well priced. Breakfast is high quality.

Location was great
There is no low-fat, high-protein food for breakfast. It was difficult to find something to eat for people on a healthy diet. There are no tissues in the room. It is very difficult to get an invoice for the stay. We had problems getting an invoice last year and this year, so nothing has improved.

Foi uma pena que, durante um dos três dias da nossa estadia, o spa estivesse reservado exclusivamente para utilização sem roupa. Consideramos esta uma política pouco habitual para um hotel e que limita significativamente a possibilidade de usufruir deste espaço. Sugerimos que o hotel reconsidere esta prática ou avalie a possibilidade de a excluir, permitindo que todos os hóspedes possam desfrutar do spa durante toda a sua estadia.
