Very friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable room and excellent location
Good spot near the harbour
Car park was a short walk away. Sea gulls were very noisy
The room and receptionist in the morning (a young lady with long brown hair whose name I didn't get).
No plug for the bathroom so we couldn't have a bath. The gulls were incredibly loud as was the music from Limoncello a few doors away.
Nice building and great location
No WiFi and was looking forward to watching something important
And the fire alarm going off twice early Sunday morning and to be told it was the steam from a shower I’m not wearing that
The location was great
The first room we were given was dark, with very small windows.
Good location in the centre of town.
In all other respects it was very disappointing. There was no receptionist on duty when I arrived, and I had to wait a considerable time to check in. The WiFi in my room turned out to be unusable, and in the bathroom there was a depressing plastic cup instead of a water glass. Well after midnight, staff were throwing empty bottles noisily into the bins outside my window.
In the morning, I arrived in the breakfast room at 09:15 and had to wait till 10:00 before my full English breakfast was served. The staff told me the chef had been out drinking the previous night and hadn’t turned up for work. A wedding party further complicated everything. It felt like an episode of Fawlty Towers - for which I had paid a three-figure sum.
This hotel has potential, but I can’t recommend it - certainly not at the inflated prices they charge. It felt like very poor value for money. In any similar German town you would get somewhere much nicer for half the price.
Central and local, staff friendly, felt safe there.
Seagull noise, which isn’t the fault of hotel, anywhere you stay you’d hear them. Hotel was nice, reasonably clean. The refurbishment was a bit of the cheap side but it was ok for a seaside town. Restaurant dinner was so so.
Was very central and the restaurant had lovely food, reception lady at desk was really nice and helpful
The shower room, it had a step into it, which could be quite dangerous coming out(I nearly slipped on the step ) as no bath mat right at feet! And I reported the drain needed a good clean as the water was nearly overflowing from shower! I had to turn shower of to let it drain! I reported it but it did t get cleaned while we was there ! This was the case in my daughter’s room also!
Lovely, comfortable room. The night desk person (Evie) was competent, friendly and welcoming.
The room was massive, bath was deep
The staff on reception was a bit up her own ass.she was rude as well.you had to pay for breakfast separately for paying full price for the room I wouldn't pay that amount again
Good location in the town centre. Friendly staff and a good Italian restaurant attached to the hotel.
For a night’s stay a breakfast included in the price of the room would have been nice.
