Location was good and food was excellent
Newly refurbished but not too a good standard

Conveniently situated. Warm homely feel, very welcoming staff. Room comfy and nice soft bed.
Feel mean saying it, it’s such a small grievance, but nowhere really to hang wet towels in the bathroom.

We had booked an executive room. The room was not ready on arrival. They then gave us a room with curtains hanging off rails, a window that wouldn't stay open and a bathroom that smelt of sewerage. No hairdryer or safe in the room. We asked to be moved the next morning and were given a much better room they said it was an upgrade?

Booked a table at the restaurant for dinner and they didnt reserve a table.
The direct upstairs room seemed to have only floor boards or loose floor boards, so when somebody moved it sounded like the ceiling would come down.
Staff very helpful.A special mention for Kerry on the desk & everywhere else,she never stopped! Nothing was any bother for other staff.All very cheerful & welcoming.They all deserve a bonus!!😃

Hotel was lovely
The main reception staff when we walked in were very short with me, we were told we couldn’t check in early which was fine but she was very stressed and quite rude with everyone waiting to check in at the same time. The toilet roll was wet in the room as were the towels. We were told it was 24 hour reception after explaining we would get back late from a concert in Edinburgh. When we got back to hotel all doors were locked and it was not just us there was other families who had been locked out. It took us over 15 minutes to get someone to answer the phone to let us in.
Das Haus liegt ganz zentral, aber ruhig. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und gut eingerichtet. Es hatte tolle Lampen und viel Stauraum. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das angeschlossene Restaurant ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel, aber die Decke für eine Person viel zu groß.
Das Bad war ziemlich kühl und die Temperatur ließ sich auch nicht regeln. Das Wlan war manchmal sehr schwach.
