Good enough to stay once, won’t be back
Pros:

Nice rooms, disabled access

Cons:

Restaurant was very expensive for the quality and the music was weird (all cover songs by the same female voice). Staff ranged from very helpful to exceptionally rude.

A very good location for the main attractions: historic walls, harbour, Bridge Street, galleries.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, though my fried egg had uncooked white, but that wAs promptly resolved. Excellent evening meal in the Amore restaurant.

Cons:

They couldn't replace my duvet with a sheet and blanket so I was too hot and had to use the bath towel as a covering! I failed to spot the hidden shower instructions which were beneath other things I didn't need in the bedroom, and I couldn't make it work.

Ok ish, disappointing customer service

Cons:

Two nights stay, we had to wait almost an hour for breakfast and the restaurant wasn't that busy..the waitress delighted in complaining to us about her work conditions. Our sleep both nights was constantly interrupted by very loud creaking floorboards from the room above which we informed reception of on checking out. When we contacted the hotel via email and eventually got a reply, we were told basically too bad 😞

overall good. noise outside at night and lack of sleep would put me off returning

good bar and restaurant. nice bear garden. rooms good,

Cons:

There was alot of noise from the street at 2am-3am. people chanting and shouting. when they stopped the seagulls started.
on the first day the breakfast service was very bad, one waitress who seemed like she couldn't really be bothered to help you. on the second day it was much better, reception staff were helping, it went much much better.

We booked at short notice, and were pleased to have somewhere to stay.
Pros:

Bedroom and bathroom were clean. Location was good

Cons:

The ground floor toilet room was not clean. Infact disturbingly unattended to.

The TV in our room could not be made to work. A member of staff eventually got it working for us.

Marvellous
Pros:

Single bedrooms are sometimes seen as poor relations but this one was great with a decent sized bed and good facilities. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay again.

A welcome break after a long hike with an excellent level of comfort for a chain hotel
Pros:

We had a good check in experience, the room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a generous selection of continental items, cereals, pastries, cold meats, yoghurts, cooked breakfast options.

Cons:

The cold ceramic floor in the ensuite, whilst its easy to keep clean and hygienic, its frustratingly cold with bare feet.

Good location with helpful reception, breakfast needs some attention.
Pros:

Large room. Reception staff were very helpful about storing our bikes, and the bike storage room was secure.

Cons:

Breakfast was a mixed experience. Scrambled eggs were dry and crumbly as if left under a heat lamp for some time. I ordered poached eggs the next day and they were much better although took a long time to arrive.
