Great location, very powerful air conditioning, comfortable beds, and spacious rooms
The hotel itself was clean, had a great buffet breakfast with the sweetest server, a nice selection of wines and spirits and non-alcoholic drinks in the lounge, free water, an elevator, and the rooms and bathrooms were huge, clean and very comfortable. They also had air conditioning. It had a great indoor and little outdoor seating area to have a drink, cookies/pastries and relax. The hotel was on a nice quiet alley/street that was very close to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and political center of Rome. There were also so many great restaurants nearby to choose from. Overall we really liked everything about this boutique hotel except a couple of front desk staff (not all of them).
A few of the staff! When we first arrived, Phllipo was working and had a very awkward stare down with me. No greeting, smile or "can I help you?" Just staring with a blank, robotic face. He was in the process of talking with two women who kindly wondered if he could call them a taxi. He pointed outside and barked that they didn't do that and the taxi was up the street. Maybe they didn't arrange taxis, but he showed zero professionalism and his customer service was severely lacking from the start. Finally I broke the minutes long stare-down by requesting to check in. He did so without cracking a smile and spoke quite rudely. He also told us we would get the free breakfast buffet and that proved untrue. The breakfast was amazing, and worth the price, but was misleading. The next evening, my group of five were having a drink outside and discussing how we were going to get to the airport in the morning and another employee with blond curly hair suggested to us (we did not ask) that she could arrange a private driver to pick us up at 6:30 am at the bridge. She took my name and cell number and that was it. When I later had some clarifying questions (where was the bridge, how should we pay) I had to hunt her down in a closed-door office and she seemed annoyed. When we arrived at the bridge at 6:15 am and waited until 6:40 for our driver, I finally called the hotel. Once again Phllipo picked up and was next level attitudinal. He said we did not have a driver and it was a mistake. When I gave him my name and number and told him it was arranged the night before he literally yelled, "It was a mistake! Goodbye!" I tried to hang up on me. I urged him not to hang up but he just kept repeating there was not a driver and it was a mistake. We were worried about being late to the airport so we let it go and called an Uber.
Brillant location, spotless clean, really helpful staff, good breakfast
Nothing
Excellent location. Clean room. Large, comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Quiet.
An unpleasant smell in the bathroom and sometimes in the communal corridors too. The breakfast was adequate but not amazing and the breakfast room was a little cramped.
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff said "yes" to everything we requested with a smile. The breakfast was good quality variety, and plentiful.
Was excellent.
Location was brilliant, the room we had with a roof terrace was a fantastic asset, staff were all very friendly.
Nothing really.
I can honestly say our trip to Rome was made all the better by our stay at Novona Colors Hotel. From arranging a car to pick us up from the airport, to the greeting with a map where all the most important sites were circled for us (along with some more local recommendations), to the lovely breakfast every morning, our stay was wonderful.
The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The room was surprisingly spacious, which you don't necessarily expect because of the location. TV that lets your cast your phone so lazy watching Netflix before bed is possible. Great show facilities too, with excellent water pressure (something I'm weirdly passionate about). Bed was king size with a memory foam mattress topper, and very comfortable.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything you'll want to do. We walked everywhere while in Rome and Navona Colors Hotel was the perfect place to do it from. Because it's slightly away from the main streets, there's minimal noise at night too.
Breakfast was continental, with pastries, bread, cold cuts and cheeses galore. Bacon and scrambled eggs available as a hot option, and yoghurts/cereals if you're to full of carbs from the night before. Fresh fruit juice and freshly made coffees all included too.
Be conscious of the city tax (which you'll pay in any hotel, and which they did warn us about but we forgot). I think it was 48 euros for 4 nights (6 euros per night per person). We paid at the end of our stay.
I'd highly recommend choosing Navona Colors Hotel as your base for exploring Rome.
Tout était parfait et l'emplacement idéal en plein Rome
Rien
Everything was perfect. The room, the facilities, the breakfast, the location, the staff. All of it. We were looking for a cheaper option for hotel in Rome, but I'd stay here again if I had an unlimited budget. Genuinely made our trip to Rome.
Don't change a thing.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Navona Colors. It was sparkling clean and smelled lovely every day. We were in room 204 and it was perfect, the bed and pillows were super comfortable and the toiletries were divine! Every member of staff was friendly and very helpful.
It is located on a lovely cobbled street that is bustling during the day and evening, there are some lovely cafes, bars and restaurants along the street but as soon as we closed the windows, it was perfectly quiet and we slept like logs every night!
All the tourist attractions are within a 30-40 minute walk, Piazza Navona is a 10 minute walk away and is a lovely place to sit and have dinner and drinks.
We can highly recommend and will definitely stay here again!
