Briery wood was amazing, the hotel itself and the grounds were lovely, the staff were so welcoming and helpful they are a credit to the place, my room was really lovely it was clean and comfortable, I loved the doggy welcome pack and my jar of sweets, lovely touches.

The staff were excellent - cleanliness was excellent - breakfast was good. The room was smart and fairly modern and appealing to the eye. The lounge's were also appealing with nice furniture.

Cons:

The shower was electric and the water flow wasn't very strong - if that was better it would be an improvement. Also the shower screen by the bath side didn't seal properly, so the bathroom floor got very wet.
Also a small fridge would have been of benefit and also an iron in the room

Overall a good experience and would recommend it to others.
Pros:

Room was comfortable and the dinner (quality of food, value for money) was excellent.
The lounge space areas were also very comfortable and it was good to be able to have a few moments prior to dinner to sit and have a drink.

Cons:

The breakfast was not as good as we had expected. The toast came too early and was cold by the time the main breakfast came, and the potato cakes dont really work. Hash Browns would be better with a cooked breakfast. The coffee could be a little stronger too!
The driveway from the road up to the hotel also needs to be replaced/resurfaced. To be honest, it doesnt give a good impression as it is so bumpy and full of potholes - would strongly recommend you to fix that ASAP.

Garden Room
Pros:

The location of the hotel was perfect. We booked a garden room which was great as we had our dog with us. The bedroom door opened onto beautiful gardens and seating area . We liked the idea of being able to take our dog to breakfast with us. She was never left out. Lovely breakfast too and very friendly helpful staff.

Cons:

We just felt our bedroom needed a bit of tlc and was ready for a deep clean although the bathroom was very clean. The curtains were in holes, we daren't close them. The room was also dusty in places.
