We stayed at Mangia’s Resort Favignana for four nights.
Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations.
The first disappointment came at check-in, when we were informed that the hotel is completely cashless and only accepts card payments. This important information was never communicated during the booking process. Since we did not have a credit card available for the guarantee, we had to leave a €100 cash deposit, which was supposed to be returned at check-out.
At check-out, the staff had no record that our deposit had to be refunded in cash. We had to wait around 20–25 minutes while they tried to figure out what had happened. This reflected a clear lack of communication between the different shifts and made the end of our stay unnecessarily frustrating.
The room was another major disappointment. It was very basic, not properly cleaned, and the overall level of cleanliness was far below what we expected from a 4 stars resort.
I will personally give it 3 stars maximum.
The hotel’s location is also not the best on the island, making it less convenient than other options.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but it urgently needs to improve its housekeeping, internal communication, and guest information to provide the level of service expected from a resort.

The pool and lounger area was spacious, this is the only positive from our experience.
The first room we were given was infested with flies and was generally very unclean and dusty. It also had a small window facing onto the main courtyard with no covering or curtain. William at reception was very helpful and moved us to another room nearer to the pool. After spending one night in the new room we awoke to mouse droppings in two locations, the entry way and bathroom. The shower was also incredibly mouldy. We immediately left the hotel after only one night of two as we felt the hotel was not sanitary enough to stay in. We made a complaint to the reception about our experience and were told as it was a Sunday head office was closed and would look at the issue on Monday. We were given an email address to forward pictures of the issues and a statement of what we experienced and nearly one week on have received no follow up from the hotel. Do not waste your time, effort and money staying here.

The resort is tucked away in a quiet part of the island, offering beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. The pool, sun loungers and spot for swimming in the sea were all excellent. The breakfasts were also superb - everything you could want was on offer in plentiful quantity. Our room was a good size - much bigger than you'd get in some resorts. Even though we were there at a quiet time of year the resort organised DJ sets at noon and at sunset and there was live music some evenings. It's easy to rent bikes from reception and the prices are reasonable. It's a fairly short ride into the main town and nearby beaches. We used the paddle courts and there's a good tennis court and football pitch free to use.
Apart from the restaurant, pool and sundeck area by the ocean, the accommodation and some facilities of the resort are quite rundown considering the cost of staying there. It's in need of a general refresh. We weren't impressed with the value for money from the seafront restaurant and chose to eat outside the resort most of the time. The resort says they charge you if you want new beach towels, which seems a bit steep for a beach/pool resort.

Good swimming pool and very friendly staff, abundant and very good breakfast. Good location nearby several points if interest.
A lot of small details almost completely neglected. Examples are the common area toilet without key, the painting in the room given by somebody who never painted before, or the weekly program with dates and days in a weird order. In general it looks like the staff is putting a lot of effort to compensate a poor upper management, with a hyper division of labour that makes no sense ("we can't take your restaurant booking now as the person in charge is not here"). Some of the staff doesn't speak English and some doesn't speak Italian, and they had some clear issue in communicating to each other. Flagged as "pet friendly" but in fact "pets allowed" would be more accurate: when we arrived nobody had any clue of the implication of having one, and we were told it had to stay in the room and never leave - just to see plenty of dogs even at the common pool later on...

Abbiamo trascorso un’esperienza davvero piacevole al Mangia’s di Favignana. La struttura è molto bella, curata e immersa in un contesto naturale meraviglioso, con una vista e un’atmosfera che rendono il soggiorno rilassante e speciale.
Un posto ideale per chi vuole vivere Favignana con comfort, tranquillità e bellezza. Esperienza assolutamente positiva, da consigliare.
Nella struttura sono presenti molte comodità e lo staff è molto disponibile e hanno cercato di assecondare sempre le nostre richieste.
Ci sono comodi lettini e ombrelloni sia per piscina che per mare
Le camere e la struttura sono datate, sarebbe opportuno fare dei lavori di ristrutturazione.
Nel bagno avevamo delle formiche. Il bar non è molto fornito

Manca attenzione ai dettagli sopra tutto in camera, poco confortevole, cattivi odori dati dall'umidita e muffa sui muri coperta alla meno peggio con una mano di pittura.

La posizione rispetto al mare sulla scogliera è fantastica, l'organizzazione, lo staff, l'efficienza dei servizi, le stanze, la colazione e il ristorante (si mangia benissimo), la comodità di poter noleggiare direttamente in albergo, il negozio di abbigliamento all'interno del resort, ecc.
Migliorerei solo la pulizia delle stanze, la nostra era direttamente sulla scogliera, ovviamente la presenza di insetti si sopporta visto il posto dove siamo, ma magari un occhio in più sarebbe meglio.
