A great place to stay
Pros:

Very centrally situated hotel given access to the heart of this historical city and beautiful cathedral and its wide facing square. Staff at hotel very friendly and helpful.

Spannend und interessant, aber nur mit Oropax

Die Lage und die Atmosphäre eines altmodischen französischen Hotels. Und die herzlichen Gastgeber.

Cons:

Es war extrem laut in der Nacht. Autoposer machen sich die engen Gassen zur Bühne und die Polizei tut nichts.
Ich finde das Hotel könnte eine Generalreinigung z.b. der Teppiche gut gebrauchen. Mein Vorschlag wäre alle Teppiche wegzuräumen und mit Holzböden zu leben. Geht prima und ist sauber.

Wir haben uns das Hotel als Ausgangspunkt für eine familiäre Erinnerungstour ausgesucht, der Großvater meiner französischen Frau ist in der Nähe von Laon im Zweiten Weltkrieg gefallen. Das Inhaber-Ehepaar hat uns mit ausgesuchter Freundlichkeit empfangen, die Zimmer sind alle sehr stimmungsvoll eingerichtet, zumal wir ein Faible für alte Möbel haben. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, in der Garage ist auch für größere Fahrzeuge ausreichend Platz, und die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für Erkundungen der Altstadt (man kann nur empfehlen, die Altstadt von Laon von einem zum anderen Ende abzulaufen!). Alles in allem erinnern wir uns sehr gerne an den Aufenthalt, sollten wir wieder in der Gegend sein, werden wir sicherlich noch einmal dort buchen. Merci!

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel comme point de départ d'un voyage familial sur les traces de nos ancêtres : le grand-père de ma femme, qui est française, est tombé au combat près de Laon pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le couple de propriétaires nous a accueillis avec une gentillesse exceptionnelle ; les chambres sont toutes aménagées avec beaucoup de charme, d'autant plus que nous avons un faible pour les meubles anciens. Le petit-déjeuner était très bon, le garage offre suffisamment de place même pour les gros véhicules, et l'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal pour découvrir la vieille ville (nous ne pouvons que vous recommander de parcourir la vieille ville de Laon à pied d'un bout à l'autre !). Dans l'ensemble, nous gardons un très bon souvenir de ce séjour ; si nous repassons dans la région, nous y réserverons certainement à nouveau. Merci !

Quaint hotel with secure parking off main tourist trail.

We went in very high temperatures and our room was south facing with no air conditioning so was a very hot night!

Cons:

I initially parked my motorcycle safely on the street but was offered a space in the courtyard, without being told that I’d be charged e12/ day plus tax for it on checkout. With city taxes the bill came to over e130 a night for a hotel with no aircon, or WiFi, extremely expensive for the 2star hotel quality.

Location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Garage. Pleasant ambience.

Cons:

They have sadly had to close their restaurant, though they do a fine breakfast. If you have any difficulty with staircases this might not be for you. No aircon.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Die Lage, es ist ein sehr altes Haus, das muss man mögen aber das Zimmer war groß und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Haus hat auch eigene Parkplätze

Cons:

Es gibt straßenseitig Verkehrslärm und auf Grund des Alters des Hauses, aus dem 17. Jahrhundert , keine Klimaanlage
