This hotel is a beautiful old historic building with a great courtyard with lots of plants and the fountain in the middle. Location is superb right in the middle of old town with attractions all accessible by foot. Great breakfast and excellent staff.
The thing that really detracts from the quality of stay is the room. It is quite small with a tiny cupboard and a small window facing the courtyard. Also the room was quite dark adding to a claustrophobic feeling.
Quaint, unique boutique hotel. Great location
Generally very good. Couldn’t get TV/Radio to function during stay.
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Boutique Casa del Poeta. The hotel was very nice, clean, and well maintained.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed, especially when the air conditioner failed, addressed the issue promptly and was able to restore A/C before we went to sleep.
The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Beautiful small hotel, fantastic location
“He viajado por casi todas las ciudades de España y me he alojado en los mejores hoteles, en las mejores zonas. Pero nunca he visto una hospitalidad, atención y servicio tan buenos como los de ustedes. Son excelentes en su trabajo.”
To get to La Case del Poeta, you walk down a narrow medieval street to a narrower medieval street to an even narrower medieval alley, turn left at the hidden church, through the doors, through an iron gate, and into the 17th century. Tucked away from the crowds of tourists, the romantic courtyard is pure charm. The rooms are immaculately clean and customer service is excellent. Historic touches are everywhere. Breakfast is standard continental fare, but sitting out on the courtyard made it special every morning. There is guitar music every evening in the courtyard. Despite the quiet location, the hotel is in the middle of Santa Cruz/Juderia and 5 minutes from the Alcazar, Seville Cathedral, and all the bars and shops of Santa Cruz.
The staff always went the extra mile, helping with tourist arrangements or travel issues. One day we had an excursion that left at dawn and they were able to arrange an early breakfast and a lunch to go, which made the trip so much easier. Despite the small size of the hotel (18 rooms!), someone is there all night in case there is an issue.
My one complaint is the standard room is on the small side. It’s fine for a few days or if you do a lot of tourism. I need to send a few hours a day in the room and it felt a bit cramped without room to spread out. The the room itself had enough room for our bags and some chairs and a very narrow desk. But we barely had enough room to put every day things like purse, devices, toiletries., etc.
Despite that, I would not want to stay anywhere else. It’s everything I thought Seville would be.
Accessibility note:
Regretfully, if you use a wheelchair, walker, or have significant mobility issues, I can’t recommend this place. If you consider it, have a detailed discussion with the staff first. They say they have accessible rooms but I don’t know how you’d get there. It’s a few blocks over a bad cobblestone street from the nearest car access. There is also a lip several inches high at the door and another heavy gate to get to the lobby. This door can be opened to a flatter surface, but you’d have to rely on the staff each time you went in and out.
A beautiful hotel set within a 5 minute walk to the cathedral. The room was beautiful appointed and the staff amazing. We only had breakfast once but it was very good. It was nice to sit at nice listening to the lady guitarist who played between 7-8 pm, drinking a cocktail or two. Would highly recommended
Very Clean, authentic, upscale, in the middle of the old city, walking distance from Alcaraz etc.
Absolutely faultless The location, The staff, The food were all 10/10 An absolute gem in the heart of Seville
Nothing
Endroit exceptionnel
Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of the Old Town. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. This is our second time to stay here and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Seville!!! We look forward to returning again!!
There was nothing we didn't like!
The apartments associated with the hotel are located a couple hundred meters away on Calle Santa Maria la Blanca on the edge of Barrio Santa Cruz. The apartments are lovely, spacious and well equipped, with two bedrooms and baths, a full kitchen, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Two bakeries and numerous restaurants within a few paces. The only downside is that there is quite a bit of nightlife street noise audible in the master bedroom, almost as if the windows were wide open. This was puzzling to us, but we coped with it by wearing earplugs to bed. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
The best location, the best lobby/courtyard. Very helpful staff. Really impressed
Only negative things were room keys. They kept not working again and again. Lastly, they gave us clasical keys.
