Was in a great location and staff were great
We were placed in the room inbetween the entry of the hotel and reception so we basically heard everyone check in and check out.. bags rolling in and out and every conversation had at any time. Mentioned it after the first night and they couldn’t do anything about it and apparently an email is sent out if you are placed in that room. Didn’t get one
Quiet and pleasant stay
Noice coming from next door
Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, bien placé dans le centre historique et personnel très accueillant
Fantastic location in the centre of the old town close to the cathedral and other historical sites. The open central courtyard provides a shady and peaceful place to eat breakfast and to listen to the live Spanish guitar each evening with a drink or two. Our interior room with a window onto the courtyard was compact but beautiful with a large comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. Excellent tasty breakfast. Welcoming staff, very helpful and friendly booking restaurants and taxis for us. We’d love to thank Julia and Jose for their wonderful friendly service and for their advice on sightseeing and places to eat. We’d like to thank the breakfast staff for their great service every morning.
We stayed for 3 nights in the Casa Del Poeta and was a great stay.
It is a beautifully styled 17th century villa with interesting artwork and colours, and with modern amenities. It is over 3 levels with a rooftop terrace with views of the Giralda and other landmarks.
We were upgraded to the suite which was large, comfortable and clean. The air con worked very well and it was very hot outside.
The breakfasts were excellent and pre-dinner drinks were very pleasant with a guitarist playing for an hour from 7.30pm.
The staff were professional and attentive, and provided a breakfast bag for us on departure as our train left early.
The location is perfect being in a quiet lane in the historic Santa Cruz district.
Thank you to the staff and we highly recommend this hotel.
From the moment you step through the doors of the Casa del Poeta, you know you are in for a special experience. After a long day of travel we were kindly greeted as if we were long-lost family just arriving. We were calmly invited to sit in the beautiful courtyard and have a cool drink and rest before going to our room. Our first receptionist, whose name was Noor, was a gem, just delightful to get to know. She was knowledgeable, professional, patient and engaged throughout our stay. Super helpful. (ALL of the staff were impeccable!) After having a cocktail and listening to the daily afternoon classical Spanish guitar performance in the courtyard, we went up to our room which was beautiful and comfortable. All the rooms open on to the courtyard with its fountain below. In the mornings, we enjoyed the Casa's fabulous buffet breakfast, with so many choices of beautiful tortillas, eggs, sausages, pastries, breads, cheeses, and fruits it was difficult to make choices! Again, we loved eating out in the courtyard before beginning our day. There is also a rooftop furnished with tables, chairs and chaise lounges where one can see all of old Seville (the Barrio de Santa Cruz) around. (NOT for the heat of the day, of course, but evenings were sublime!) This location is EXCELLENT. We were only a few minutes walk away from the Alcazar, the cathedral, various plazas, and all the other sites we wanted to see. There was an abundance of fabulous little tapas restaurants and shops just steps away. I had been a bit concerned about safety as we were in Seville to attend a family wedding that went until 4 a.m., and we had to walk back, but we were assured it would be fine on our return and it truly was. (This hotel is in the old Jewish quarter of the city and there is NO car or taxi access directly to the Casa's door. Part of its charm!) We have traveled all over the world. There are only a few hotels that stand out for us as TRULY special and this is one of them. It was an unforgettable experience for us that we'll always treasure. If you're lucky enough to book here, DO it.
Everything was perfect, the location is very central, the breakfast was delicious, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was lovely.
Nothing
The place is absolutely perfect for a city hotel. Comfortable quiet room, great bed, spacious bathroom, and just a lovely looking space as well.
There was nothing wrong.
Very little not to like, if anything: great location, brilliant staff, utterly charming and delightful property. Comfortable bed; good linen, towels and bathroom amenities; lovely room; supremely efficient air conditioning. Excellent breakfast.
