Pros:

Besonders gut hat uns das Flair des Hotels gefallen. Die ländliche Umgebung war sehr schön. Die Kinder fanden den Spielplatz und das kleine Schwimmbecken besonders toll. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück perfekt.

Pros:

Leider kamen wir zu spät in der Unterkunft an um das Schwimmbad und die Sauna zu nutzen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und wir konnten unsere E-Bikes sicher unterstellen und laden.

Pros:

Ontbijt was prima. Locatie en parkeren goed

Cons:

Wat heel erg tegen viel dat er tijdens de hete en warme dagen geen airco en/of ventilators op de kamers waren.
Ook kamers met alleen 2 kleine raampjes en geen deur naar buiten

Ich hatte wegen der zu erwartenden Hitze (es waren 35 Grad) extra eine Junior Suite mit Gartenblick gebucht, weil in der Zimmerkategorie "Einzelraum-Klimaanlage in der Unterkunft der Gäste" stand. Unser Zimmer hatte keine Klimaanlage und war sehr heiß! Da das Hotel ziemlich ausgebucht war, gab keine Ausweichmöglichtkeit, und das Personal an der Rezeption war nicht besonders hilfreich oder bemüht.

Country hotel close to the Rhine-Rhur cities and conurbations. Fun 90s/Y2K styling.
Pros:

Family friendly; we did not feel uncomfortable at any point. The swimming pool area was super. The outdoor space to let off steam for the kids was a huge plus.

The hotel styling is very 90s/early 2000s which has its own charm. The staff were genuinely delightful.

Excellent restaurant with local produce and proper German portions (read big-adequate).

Major cities all within 30-45 mins was a plus too.

Cons:

The beds, in particular the mattresses were either too hard or too soft. They need replacing; soon. Otherwise this would have been a perfect stay. I would still recommend the hotel especially to families in any case.

We will return I’m sure.
