Motel 6-Pismo Beach, CA

I was very disappointed with my check-in experience. I arrived at the hotel at the scheduled check-in time, only to be informed by the front desk staff that they had run into some issues and that my room would not be ready until much later, closer to 9:00 PM.

Because I was traveling with my autistic child, who needed to rest, and denied the usage of the restroom upon arrival. waiting several additional hours for a room was not a reasonable option for us. I explained this to the front desk staff and informed her that I would not be staying because of the delayed check-in. Since it was Labor Day weekend, I had a very difficult time finding another place to stay and ultimately had to book another hotel.

What is especially frustrating is that I was later denied a refund because the hotel claimed that I never informed them that I would not be staying. That is simply not true. I specifically communicated this to the front desk employee when I was informed that my room would not be available until approximately 9:00 PM.

I understand that unexpected issues can happen, but I do not believe it is fair to charge a guest for a room that was not available at the agreed-upon check-in time, especially when the guest clearly communicated to staff that they were unable to wait and would not be staying. I would appreciate the hotel reviewing this situation and reconsidering the decision to deny my refund.

No clean towels available upon checked in, no available toiletries in the room’s. Place hasn’t been updated in quite some time and the cleaning standards just were not there.

Room was not very clean , cracks in walls and base boards , shower was stained , Box spring visible stains , No mini fridge or microwave , was told TV had to warm up , channels scrambled

The bed was not comfortable at all on my husband side. There were two large dips or holes in the middle and the pillows were very small the blanket not enough to really keep you warm not a very comfortable sleep. I wouldn’t stay here again and I stayed at mini Motel 6 been pleased before. When I sent, though the lady at the front desk was very pleasant.

It was a terrible place. We didn't even stay because the rooms were gross. The location was terrible and they charged so much we couldn't even get a refund.

Website offered queen room with refrigerator. I chose this option. Upon arrival at the property, they denied having booking for a room with a refrigerator. Wanted to charge me more. Was this a booking.com website issue or was this due to property problem? Room was also run down.
