Delightful accommodation in very walkable area
Pros:

Gorgeous room with frescoes. Great location and attentive staff.

Cons:

Stairs are difficult for me but they took care of my mobility scooter and kept it safe in the courtyard!

Good hotel, Terrible location.
Pros:

The gentleman who checked us in was outstanding, very helpful and professional. The breakfast was rather tasty.

Cons:

This location is terrible unless your mode of transport has ony 2 wheels. I literally had to drive around for more than an hour to locate the hotel. Google maps kept taking me to dead-end roads repeatedly. The street the hotel is o, has a ridiculous numbering system and the numbers are out of sequence so Google really is useless for navigating older areas of Florence. To top off the madness there was neither cold or hot water in the morning to shower et.The cause of the water outage was never explained.

I recommend never staying in an old-town area in any Italian city or village. Stay outside the city center, possibly near a train station to avoid the chaos of driving your car to those restricted locations.
