Top Lage, nur wenige Gehminuten von Kong‘s Cross
Das Zimmer, das mir zugeteilt wurde, lag in einer Baracke im Innenhof, war düster und roch extrem Modrig. Von den 7Lichtspots an der Decke hat nur einer funktioniert. Die Luft war so feucht, dass auch die Bettwäsche feucht war. Habe reklamiert und ein noch freies „Familienzimmer“ bekommen. 3 Betten eng nebeneinander, ein großes Loch im Fenster (es war Gott sei Dank nicht kalt). Extrem abgewohnt. Armaturen waren defekt, Wasserschäden an der Decke und keine Möglichkeit, das Zimmer von innen zu verriegeln. Es roch auch nach kaltem Rauch.
Location is very close to Kings Cross and St. Pancras rail stations - the main positive is proximity.
Rooms were old fashioned and fittings and furniture old and worn.

This is one of the many boutique style hotels lining Argyle Square and sourrounding streets. Good pressure and temperature control in shower. The room I had was a kind of annexe or outhouse building, which was fine. The three staff members I interacted with were very pleasant, and friendly. The WiFi connection was good. The proximity to Kings Cross St Pancras stations and underground is excellent.
The room had a bit of a damp smell. I went three times round Argyle Square looking for a "Melville" sign and finally realised there isn't one - it's Roksy. I think there has been a fairly recent change of ownership are the names Exelsior, Melville and Roksy all seem to be associated with this hotel. There were some sheets of plasterboard and plywood propped in the acess corridor, so I guess some upgrading work is imminent. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are plenty of places nearby.
The location was the only thing okay about this stay. I will be asking for some compensation/refund for our stay.
It was honestly the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed it. Dirty, mouldy and unsafe. Both my partner and I left feeling unwell. I will be asking for some compensation due to this.

Location is great, just a stones throw from King’s Cross and easy to access. Room was spacious and secure. It was definitely better than I thought based on previous reviews. Had mini kitchen in room which was a bonus although not needed, the fridge was helpful
It is definitely budget - the price is the main reason we booked and we definitely didn’t expect much. The bathroom was had various spots of mould (cracks in the walls, shower curtain was mouldy) and it smelt of mould which was probably the worst bit. The drain didnt work in the shower which then proceeds to soak the entire bathroom. It really needs a good clean and redecorating, curtains were hanging off and didn’t open with the mechanism, wallpaper peeling, tv aerial was unattached to tv so that didn’t work. Four light switches but only one worked, and that turned 4 ceiling lights on (no lamps or other lighting so it was either full brightness or pitch black). I have dust allergies so I was sneezing non stop - visible dust on light fittings and loads of dirt on ledges and sides (I actually gave it a good wipe down when we got there) . There is so much potential so I really hope they can turn it around, if I was paying the same amount and other options were limited I would stay again. It just needs a good freshen/tidy up
The location was great & the staff were very friendly. The guy on reception was fab!
The bathroom was sub par, the shower curtain was filthy (mouldy bottom), the room wasn’t as clean as expected (could still see the remnants of the last persons confetti).
