Nice place to stay in Daylesford
Pros:

Location was great and easy walking distance to the town centre. Atmosphere was enjoyable and comfortable and all presented in a clean manner. Only issue was the air conditioner was not that effective but OK

Nice location, clean room, shame about the lack of an open fire.

The location was fabulous. Close to everything.

Cons:

As we were staying mid-winter we paid extra to get a room with a cosy open fire, so we could enjoy the crackle of the wood burning while sipping a glass of red before dinner. We are old hats at lighting a fire and kindling had been provided. Unfortunately, the logs provided were way too large and only caught light briefly around the edges. In my opinion the logs should have been split (at least in half) and a real fire could have been enjoyed. However, the fire petered out before we left for dinner. Also, it was a bit of a guess as to when the flu was open or shut. I figured it out by trial and error, but a few words of instruction would have been good.
Furthermore there was no one in reception on our arrival nor later, so there was nobody to ask for help. We could have paid less and had the same experience, so it was a bit disappointing from that point of view.

Terrible
Pros:

Do not stay at this Inn. It was a very big mistake when we decided to have overnight accommodation here. When we arrived hours before reception was supposed to close, not only was no one there but reception had closed for the day. Instructions were left at the door on how to obtain our room key, which we did. The problem was that the key was not to the room we had booked, but to another one. This room was one that we would never have considered. It was very small and cramped and nothing like the one that had been originally confirmed. We tried some phone numbers to contact someone about this but could get no replies or option to leave messages. In the morning we went to reception to check out and spoke to the woman behind the desk about our dissatisfaction with what had happened. There was no response, no apology, nothing. Just pay the money that you owe. Upon our return home we emailed the Inn about this experience and they did not bother to reply. Please take this as a warning.

Great Location
Pros:

We had a great time at the Central Springs Inn. The Open Wood Fireplace was very warm and cosy. Our room was also very clean and tidy, and the motel was in a good location within in walking distance of the Township, Market, French Restaurant and the Convent. I would highly recommend this Motel for value for money.
