Not much, except the gorgeous landscape
The room was ridiculously worn out including a shower head fixed with cable binders.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were perfectly clean and had a very comfortable bed. Food was excellent. Great value. Would definitely stay there again.
Everything was perfect.
Breakfast was great and service was excellent.
I cannot comment on the quality of the dinner as we dined elsewhere, we looked at the menu and decided it was not for us based on the type of food offered and the price.
The room was nice and the hotel itself was nice, bathrobes and slippers in the room were a nice touch.
The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and there were plenty of options.
The hotel building and I suppose what would be described as period decor are lovely.
Plenty of parking spaces to the hotel rear and the hotel's location between Glengariff and Bantry perfect.
Our room had twin beds and not a double as we had expected, the beds themselves were rather uncomfortable and one even leaned to the side, the shower was part of the bath tub and the bath tub itself very slippy (there was a shower mat which we discovered hidden in the under sink unit after we had used the shower). The water release valve in the bathroom sink was broken.
The Irish breakfast was tasty but not very generous.
On check in procedure was interrupted rather rudely by what appeared to be a manager, the check in clerk was giving us the key to a room when the rude "manager" instructed him to give us another room which we found strange.
We are both keen gardeners and from the description of the hotel's gardens we had expected a lot more that what was actually there. The garden is nice but the descriptions of it exaggerated.
The breakfast!
Breakfast was excellent, and staff at breakfast excellent
There was a smell of must in sitting room and my spa treatment i was disappointed with, it was tge mud bath but my friends had different ones and they enjoyed them
Location and style
Long drive from Dublin
Such friendly staff, gorgeous food, spotless. Loved every minute of the stay. Great location for bantry and glengariff / garnish island etc
Breakfast was good. Comfy bed. Pretty grounds. Friendly staff.
Lack of comms between Booking.com and hotel about bringing a guest. Hotel supposed to be dog friendly but that just means dog can be in your bedroom (seems not much for 30 Euros per night), nothing more. We got a room on the second floor, nothing a dog friendly one.
