Pros:

Großes Zimmer mit ausreichend großem und sauberem Bad. Eigentlich waren es 2 Zimmer mit einer Schiebetür getrennt, sodass unser Sohn einen eigenen Raum hatte. Das Frühstück war super. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist sehr schön. Mit dem Bus direkt vor der Haustür kommt man sehr gut nach Stockholm. Ein Parkplatz steht direkt am Hotel zur Verfügung.

Härlig vistelse i fantastiskt vacker miljö!
Pros:

En fantastisk vistelse på Vår Gård i Saltsjöbaden! Vacker miljö, trevlig personal, god mat och en härligt avkopplande atmosfär. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

Cons:

Det enda negativa var att det var lite dåligt skyltat till frukosten, vilket gjorde det svårt att hitta rätt. I övrigt var vi mycket nöjda med vistelsen!

An incredible pleasant stay in all.
Pros:

Really nice employees and very good and compleet breakfast. We love the art, it's like a museum you discover all the time new pieces.

What you see on the website is not the reality.
Pros:

Beautiful spot, wonderful views, pretty breakfast room. The sauna was great with a lovely spot to hop in the water. Good lunch in the cafe.

Cons:

The website is incredibly misleading. The website shows images of the original, beautiful old house in a way that suggests that that is where you will be staying. However none of the accommodation or facilities or breakfast are in this house. All the accommodation is provided in modern blocks spread over the site. They remind me of university halls of residence or travel lodges on motorways in the uk. The inside of the rooms are nice, the block we were in was recently refurbished and was done in a very tasteful way. The staff look very unhappy, no one really smiles, I wonder if they are overworked? When we asked at reception where the billiard table shown on the website was the girl said it was in the old house but she had to check if we could use it. She said we couldn’t after 8pm because there weren’t enough staff. When we asked if we could use kayaks she said we had to give 24 hours notice as the reception staff also had to get the kayaks out for guests. So I sense they were understaffed. I think this is a really great conference hotel, not a great place for a holiday. Had I come here on business I would have thought much more highly of it than as a tourist with my family.

Små rum. För små lakan i sängarna. Störande ljud från Saltsjöbanan utanför fönstret. Personalen är inte särskilt service-minded.

A lovely hotel but not for families.
Pros:

The main hotel is beautifully decorated with lovely artwork etc.

It is very easy to get into Stockholm with bus stop right next to hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

There’s a great pizza restaurant just round the corner which we’d very much recommend.

Cons:

This hotel did not feel suitable at all for children. We didn’t realize this when we booked! There were numerous conference guests there and the communal spaces did not feel welcoming for families. The menu is very much aimed at adults and there was only one meal option for children in the downstairs restaurant (meatballs). No options aimed at kids at breakfast.
There are various activities like lawn games, an outside gym and bikes for adults but no games at all for children.
It’s a very nice hotel but really would just suit an adult stay. This is perhaps our error as saw the hotel recommended on a blog for travelling with kids.

In the room there are no coffee or tea making facilities/ water and no beach towels to use at the little beach or sauna. This felt unusual in a 4 star hotel. The phone to reception also didn’t work.

Please note - the little beach is very small so not really an activity, more somewhere to have a quick paddle.

Relaxing break on the water.
Pros:

Fabulous location, very relaxing and very easy to get to from Stockholm

Cons:

I would recommend the larger double if staying a few days as the space is tight.
