Lovely breakfast everything you needed even got sausage for my doggie lovely comfy bed so much took photo make of mattress need one! location beautiful view beautiful old building

Cons:

When we arrived i booked in expecting hello welcome but man very mixed up quite had lanage problem wasnt sure or understandable .
Saw 3 other staff they were very polite welcoming .
Alot of cosmetic need doing to building our room 21 needed lick paint rusted looking radiator in bathroom with rubbish inside grid off putting

Lovely place, just uncomfortable breakfast on last day

On last morning had to have breakfast sat at a low sofa. Having had a colonectomy recently I found leaning forward to eat was quite painful, so recommend more tables and chairs in breakfast area rather than a mixture of this and sofas

Super clean lots of character and a really great breakfast.
Pros:

lovely hotel with a period / vintage theme but with all the moden facilities you need A great , spotlessly clean bathroon. Lovely white bedding and a fantastic breakfast.

The hotel is a few minutes walk up a steep road However this did mean that you have an amazing view of the beach as the sun sets.

Accommodated my needs. Great Views and easy to get to all attractions.

Has a lovely old style. Clean room and lovely fresh bedding. Great mattress. Lovely towels.
I was in room 41. (52 stairs) top room of hotel. Great views of promenade and West shore. Good breakfast continental and cooked. Location great. Cable cars a few steps away. Tram just down the bottom of road to the left. Enjoyed my Birthday stay.
My career as Front of House and Deputy Manager in 5 star establishments makes me see how beautiful this hotel could be.

Cons:

Not a problem for me, but just be informed it is up a steep hill or lots of steps. We were lucky with parking at the property and on the quiet road. Height of season could be a problem.
The hotel has a lot of wear and tear throughout Really needs upgrading. Even if it’s just reception area as it looks dull. And its your first impression of the place. Kate was on duty in reception, waitressing and room cleaning. Very friendly and helpful. Top marks to her.
