Basic breakfast
We stayed at Hotel Castello for a week in June and had a fantastic holiday. The location is perfect, with direct access to the beach, so you're only a few steps from the sea.
Gina, the manager, and her wonderful team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, attentive and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Our room had an amazing view over the beach, the sea and the bay. We never got tired of looking out from the balcony – the scenery was simply stunning.
Breakfast offered plenty of choice, whether you wanted a healthy start to the day or something more indulgent. We also ate lunch at the hotel on most days, enjoying the good selection of snacks, sandwiches and freshly prepared meals.
Golfo Aranci is a lovely town with lots of cafés, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Seafood is a local speciality, but there are plenty of meat dishes too, so everyone is well catered for.
For us, Hotel Castello ticked every box. The location is unbeatable, the staff are exceptional and the whole hotel has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We'd happily return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach holiday in Sardinia.

The location is great. Right on a beautiful beach.
The hotel is old and misrepresented, it looks nothing like the pictures online. There is no restaurant it is more like a snack bar to order, most options are not available after 3 pm. The shuttle service is very poor. I requested a shuttle for the next day to return home, after being told no problem, i was offered a taxi. That taxi was 30 minutes late, it was very frustrating and left me running all over an airport last minute.
