I was in the area and needed a place to take an important but last minute client call (plus I needed an outlet to charge my computer). The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped get me situated in their lobby restaurant where I was able to work without a hitch. I've never heard of the Marmara brand before, but this one touchpoint was enough to convince me to explore the brand more and to stay here on my next trip to New York. I can't wait to be back.
Very clean, right next-door to the subway, very friendly staff, just the perfect location overall
Nothing really… Hallway to the room is a little dark, so it was hard to find the room, but that’s the vibe of the hotel and I was OK with that
The hotel overall was beautiful. But I did not get the room I booked and saw online plus the air conditioner was not working at all and it was so so hot in the room 😧

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Parking was easy and the rooms were spacious. We were there with our 1 year old and they gave us a great size crib not just a pack-and-play like many other hotels too.
I’m sorry this is not a 5 star and really not a 4 star. It smells and really is in need of a serious renovation. Not sure why people are giving it a good review.

On the 22nd March I made a reservation with the hotel, via Expedia, which failed to authorise as the card I provided didn’t process. The hotel were kind enough to tell me this and that the booking was cancelled. I found alternative arrangements and thought no more of it. I did not cancel via Expedia as the Marmara cancelled the booking and I was advised that I had to cancel via the third-party site. On the 28th March, Expedia contacted me to ‘get me ready’ for my trip. I contacted the hotel via the app and received no response. On the 31st March, the hotel reprocessed my booking again, without seeking permission. I tried to contact the hotel via Expedia and was told because I had not cancelled via Expedia, the booking was still live. The hotel charged me for a no show to the tune of $600. I have tried to get my money back via my credit card and via Expedia and no one can help. My feedback to you is a) if you cancel a guest’s booking due an issue with their card, please make it explicit that this should also be cancelled by the guest with any third party site and/ or b) if you are going to reprocess a booking, seek permission first. I find it highly irregular that you would just take money from a credit card on file without making contact with its owner - some might consider it theft.

Personnel adorable, aux petits soins (à l'accueil, et femmes de chambre très à l'écoute), disponible 24/24 ce qui est bien pratique pour le départ à 4h du matin que nous avions (taxi réservé par l'hôtel, nickel).
Chambre très spacieuse et très bien équipée, avec kitchenette bien pratique! Lits hyper confortables et chambre plutôt silencieuse, bien insonorisée et donnant sur une rue plutôt calme, ce qui est rare pour New York, grand écran et iPad dans la chambre. connexion wifi nickel. Bouteilles d'eau et capsules de café de bienvenue. fontaine d'eau au citron disponible dans le hall.
Piscine chauffée bien appréciable; je regrette de ne pas avoir eu le temps d'en profiter un peu plus, ainsi que de la salle de sport et du spa..
Juste pour que l'hôtel puisse justifier ses 5 étoiles, car globalement très contente du séjour! :
Pomme de douche "spa" pas très pratique, non amovible et mal orientée (on a mis de l'eau partout à chaque douche!) mais grande baignoire agréable. Manque un peu de rangements dans la salle de bain.
L'hôtel manque un peu d'entretien: les luminaires étaient rafistolés au scotch et les tiroirs se décrochaient quand on les ouvrait, il y avait un courant d'air par la fenêtre, même fermée.. mais heureusement le chauffage fonctionnait très bien. Manque de luminosité dans la chambre (lumière tamisée, pas de plafonnier), les prises de la console de l'ipad ne fonctionnaient pas, mais un membre du personnel nous a prêté 2 adaptateurs pour compenser.
The staff were all lovely, very helpful. In particular Sue on the desk sorted out the issues we had. Looked like the room wasn't quite ready for us as there was no tea/coffee facilities or a mini fridge for water. Sue sorted these within minutes. Hairdryer was broken too which she got replaced.
Swimming pool was quiet and relaxing. The Turkish bath is a steam room with marble slabbing which is good after a day of walking about.
Location is great for the subway and plenty attractions within walking distance. Loads of eateries nearby also.
If i am honest its not the usual 5 star experience ive had but the hotel and staff are nice.
Beautiful spacious room, great location and view of The Empire State Building from the balcony. Friendly helpful staff.
Corridors are very dark to the rooms, and a porter when requested our daughters medication from the fridge actually brought someone else's medication.
