Lovely property, good location, comfy beds, spacious room & excellent breakfast.
Sadly we did have a few cons: we had a few things that didn’t work in our room - air conditioning (We did have a small fan but it was too noisy at nighttime, windows did not open) The TV remote, we couldn’t watch TV. The lamp didn’t work - it was too bright with the ceiling lights on and not bright enough with only a reading light on.
We only stayed for one night and as I had already been back to reception as our room key didn’t work, I did not have the time to keep going back to reception to report each issue. We just made the best of it.
Lovely property
Excellent breakfast
Comfy beds
Unable to open window, fan was provided but noisy
Really comfortable bed. super clean room. Warm cookie on arrival was a lovely treat. Good selection at breakfast buffet
Entrance outside should be more brightly lit at night. Side street is quite dark later on, didn't feel overly safe
Good location and lovely interior
Room was a bit dated and very hot even with air con and fans
The staff are a total credit to the business nothing was to much trouble..i was made to feel so welcome and id definately stay again..
Na
We booked a room on the day on 27th June . When we arrived at the hotel we discovered the air con was broken on our side of the building. We later discovered this has been the case for some time . There were no opening windows and it was unbearable. They had provided two fans. We complained and we were lied to and told it had broken that afternoon and they would provide another fan . We were late for a concert so had to leave immediately. On return the room was just the same. Other guests in the hotel had their room doors propped open and were wandering around trying to get cool . We asked for a refund and wanted to leave but were told we should get money back but couldn’t guarantee how much but they couldn’t authorise and we couldn’t move because they were full and to ask the morning staff. In the morning we were told the same . I called the hotel twice trying to speak to the duty manager then I e mailed to be told it was our choice to stay so we weren’t eligible for a refund. Please look back at previous reviews and you will see a pattern here . It’s a franchise hotel and they are clearly prepped to handle people complaining and are clearly ripping people off not providing adequate conditions . You have been warned
I would like to say thank you to the staff specially to vanessa in reception she is very nice, accommodating, helpful, approachable and friendly, it was my 50th birthday and they gave me a surprise in our room that I was so thankful and happy, i really appreciate it! we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel hopefully we come back soon. Xxx
Staff great, location good, breakfast good.
The room was tacky/ needing attention. Considering the price i paid for this, for the same cost ive stayed in lovely accommodation. This wasnt. Also the air-conditioning was on but wasnt working. Following a hot spell I was.looking forward to a cool room. The dining/ breakfast room was cold so it was clearly working somewhere in the building.
Is in a brilliant location and rooms were of a very good and spacious size.
Our trip subsequently fell part way through a UK heatwave our rooms air con wasn’t working and a small stand alone unit was already in the room but failed to pre-warn us but this was also not working, we spoke with reception and explained the issue they asked for us to wait in the lobby whilst the Manager looked into the issue at which point it was decided to move our rooms, again air con not working and this room had 2 stand alone units in, these were pretty noisy and we needed to fill them up with water twice. It basically took 1hr 20mins to check in, this was an awful stay and £280 for the night is disgusting.
Great location
Very run down.
Tap broken.
Poor lighting. No water in fridge.
No black out curtains.
Stairs to bathroom a nightmare!!
Very tatty.
Bed uncomfortable
Location good. Hotel very run down. Need an update. For over £200 for a mid week stay I’d say too much. No drinks in fridge.
Shower door didn’t close. Bath tap loose. Poor lighting. Spiral steps up to bathroom not great. No black out curtains so light shining through at the crack of dawn.
Bed not very comfortable.
Will not be recommending this hotel and certainly not staying again!!
