Location was great.
Overlooked the ferry terminal.
Room was tiny, we left our suitcases in the car.
Odd set up with shower where you flick a switch outside the bathroom to turn the shower on & off.

The proximity to the train station and ferry terminal and the lovely views of the harbour really make the Kelvin shine. The studio was very comfortable and the staff, from owner to cleaning crew, were friendly and fun.

I banged my head a couple of times on the low sloping ceiling in my room
My 14-year-old son and I spent three wonderful days at The Kelvin Hotel in Oban, and we had an absolutely fantastic stay. Olban is such a beautiful town.
Everything was excellent. The hotel was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Honestly, we wouldn't change a thing.
A special thank you to the gentleman working at the bar. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask his name, but he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. He really made us feel at home.
We left with wonderful memories and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!
It was just what I needed - a bed for the night close to the harbour and railway station
Nice welcome. Nice clean and reasonably spacious bedroom, en suite ok, but no shelves for toiletries. Room included a fridge, but no tea or coffee for a brew-up. Didnt take breakfast. Lots of breakfast cafes nearby. We used the Shore Cafe, 2-300 yards away

Bedroom walls quite thin. Easy to hear noise from other rooms and corridor. Bar prices quite expensive. £8.50 for a malt whisky. About £6 at nearby Wetherspoons.
Close to train station and harbour.
Self check in - just take the keys left in a bowl.
Clean bathroom.
Didn’t see any staff during my stay.
Single room very basic, cheaply done and small.
