Very clean, affordable, great room and facilities and enjoyed spending g time with the host over a few drinks at the bar

No frills but fine
Pros:

Room was larger and brighter than our other stays in Scotland, and nice and clean. A well lit mirror for shaving and make-up was another positive. It's an old building but rooms look recently painted and furnished. Easy 3 minute walk to trains, buses and ferries. The breakfast was quite good value but just open for an hour and we preferred the porridge at nearby Coast Cafe. There's a cozy lounge bar with games and books.

Cons:

We were prepared for the stairs. Check out was a bit early at 10am. The luggage storage is in an open hallway, so not secure if that worries you.

Central Oban location. Good accommodation.
Pros:

The hotel is very central.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.
The bathroom was functional and clean.
The lady at the bar was friendly and helpful.
The self check in and check out has been flawless.

Cons:

I would have preferred free parking facilities.
