Pros:

Property was stunning. Quiet. Charming. We were disappointed that we were only there for one night! The rooms were spacious and the pool area super comfortable. Lots of cute deck chairs areas dotted around on the grass also.

In Tissamaharama, “Chaarya” is the place to stay!
Pros:

from the front office the incredible hospitality is unmatched. The buffet was absolute delight with so many varieties in one place. Staff were great. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely visit again.

Great hotel
Pros:

Very nice hotel. Pool well located. Large hotel have to walk far to some rooms. Good facilities. Food very nice. Good selection of Sri Lankan and western foods. Great hospitality!!!

Cons:

The hotel room had lizards. We booked a chalet category room and found 2 lizards inside. The staff was courteous to change our room (lower category since it was fully booked).
The new room was not well kept. The furniture was broken and it was not super clean as well. And again there was a lizard in that room as well.
To our surprise they dont have any information or contacts for the safari. Being a 5-star hotel, we expected top notch experience but was not fully happy with it.

Not handicap friendly!
Pros:

While the room was comfortable , it had annoying level variations which makes difficult at night to approach toilet.
Apparently this resort is mostly patronized by whites and hence the food is suitable to their palates. As an Indian, I didn't like the food.
Yes, staff is polite and cooperative.

Beautiful setting
Pros:

The rooms are surrounded by lily ponds and there is a good pool for relaxing. The staff are attentive and helpful and the restaurant is excellent. The accommodation is a spacious well equipped room and en suite that are beginning to show their age.

Great place to come back to after a Safari.
Pros:

Great place to use as a base for exploring Yala national park and surrounding area.
Breakfast buffet is plentiful and staff are helpful.
Pool looked inviting but never used it. Rooms are large and clean and air conditioning is great after a day in the jeep.

Excellent Hotel Near Kataragama!
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. I really appreciated the excellent service and hospitality throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Best food , great service and extremely polite staff
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent throughout our visit. The entire staff was polite and welcoming, making our stay truly pleasant.

We would like to give a special mention to Ravindu, who went above and beyond to help us during our stay. He made us the best coffee we’ve had, and his service was incredibly professional and courteous. His warm hospitality truly stood out, and we are grateful for the wonderful experience he provided. Thanks to udith as well for his helpful service.
