I am 1.98m tall. I had to leave at 12.00 and to check into another hotel. Where I found a comfortable room.

Really nice hotel
Pros:

Room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Location was great too.

Cons:

There was a venting machine but it was empty. It would have been nice to be able to buy a drink but not a big deal.

After many years of using The Belgrave, now The Maiden Oval, I doubt I will use it again.
Pros:

Location good, room clean, shower unit good.

Cons:

I have stayed here many times, always with a very satisfactory room. But this time I was given room G2, which is smaller than a prison cell, nowhere to place or hang clothes, the front of the toilet is placed so close to the wall that there is no room to sit on it properly and an adult has to sit sideways, the TV didn't work, the external extractor fan ran all night. £96 for being in what seemed to be a converted storecupboard.

Pros:

It is a good quality budget hotel. Good location for the tube. Very friendly staff.

Cons:

It is on a main road and a tad noisy but that is not the hotel's fault. Just something to be mindful of if you have a room that is in the front of the hotel.

Pros:

とにかくOval駅から近くでとても便利でした。部屋は一人での出張には必要十分。すぐ近くにLimeのステーションもあったのでレンタル自転車も利用しやすかったです。道の反対側に小さなコンビニがあってちょっとした買い物には不自由しませんでした。すぐ近くにパン屋さん・パブ（こちらは利用しませんでしたが）などもあります。お値段はこのロケーションにしてはかなりお安く、おトク感がありました！

Cons:

冷蔵庫がないのはロンドンではデフォルト？私が行ったときはたまたま30度超えの暑い数日だったので飲み物がぬるくなってしまい、困りました。

Disappointing stay
Pros:

Just a two minute walk from Oval Station with easy access to the Tube and nearby buses. The city centre is also within easy reach.

Cons:

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING A 4-PERSON ROOM PLS!!

The biggest concern was safety. Our 4-person room was on the top floor, and the windows could open fully. One of the beds was placed right next to the window. My 14-year-old sister accidentally moved into the open window with her leg while sleeping and woke up frightened. How is this considered safe for families? A child only needs to climb onto the bed, lose balance for a second, and a serious accident could happen.

Other negatives

No air conditioning. During our stay it was around 30°C, and the small fan provided was not enough for three people.
The lift was out of service, meaning we had to climb several flights of stairs to reach the top floor. As someone with asthma, this was very difficult.
The room was not very clean. The mattress was heavily stained, which was unpleasant to see.
No small fridge and very limited facilities. There was only one vending machine in the lobby and it was almost empty.
The 4-person room was extremely small with very little space to move around, even though there were only three of us.

The staff were generally friendly and helpful.
The shower door was broken when we arrived. To their credit, staff repaired it the next day after I reported it.

Would I recommend this hotel? For one night, maybe two if you’re travelling alone. For a longer stay, probably not.

Excellent value for money clean accommodation in a great location
Pros:

Great location very close to the tube station, rooms were extremely clean and lovely powerful shower.

Cons:

The bed was small and extremely springy!
