Great Rooms and Service and the hotel is perfectly located by the town square with bars and restaurants all around.

Breakfast at the hotel is not great to say the least.

Great place to stay, it was easy to park and pay, the breakfast was basic but it was easy and good, and the staff was friendly.

Want to Bloomington for a wedding checked in around four PM left immediately for the wedding the room and the entire hotel seemed very very damp. When I returned. It was just miserable and was not gonna accommodate an overnight stay for my family. I asked to be given a refund as it was just better for me to go home at that point was not gonna be able to sleep the front desk said that was no manager on duty and that they could not provide a refund, but they called the manager who asked if I wanted to go toanother room I said no I had already looked at another room, which was the same way the entire hotel was damp the hallways the lobby, the rooms condensation on all the windows. She assured me that it would be taken care of when the manager got back. Four days later he denied my request for a refund. I called and spoke to him and he was very rude. His name is Jeremy English and was very adamant on. You will not receive a refund and that he offered another room and that was as far as he was going to go. if he was not going to give a refund, I should’ve been told that before I left and not told everything would be fine. Bad service, bad management

Breakfast

The rooms were satisfactory, but the breakfast was genuinely disappointing. If you’re not on a tight schedule in the morning, I’d recommend eating elsewhere. I understand that breakfast is a convenience and not something that guarantees high‑quality food, but the experience would be far better with fewer options and better execution. During peak hours, most of what remained on the buffet were bread items, which made the variety feel misleading. Simplifying the offerings and focusing on higher‑quality selections—while keeping the food levels consistently replenished—would make a noticeable difference.

As a World of Hyatt Explorist member, I've stayed at many Hyatt properties over the years, which made this experience especially disappointing.

When I arrived at my room, it was clear that it had not been thoroughly cleaned or properly inspected. Both the bathtub and bathroom sink drains were clogged and drained very slowly. Even more concerning, I found a pair of dirty socks left inside the armoire from a previous guest. There was also a foreign object underneath the bathroom sink, and the inside of the armoire was noticeably dusty and dirty.

Finding items left behind by another guest immediately made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. Between the housekeeping issues and the maintenance problems, this stay fell well below the standard I expect from Hyatt.

The location of the hotel is convenient for visiting Indiana University, which is one of the reasons I chose this property and had planned to stay here again later this year. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to reconsider those plans.

I hope management addresses these housekeeping and maintenance issues. Hyatt has built a strong reputation for quality, and this property has an opportunity to do better. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel until these issues are resolved.

I live less than a block away from the Hyatt Place hotel in Bloomington, IN. All of my out-of-town visitors have stayed there &, to-date, it was fine: not fancy, but a good value for the price. A friend for whom this was his 4th visit, stayed there July 9-11. It was a horrible experience from start to finish. He made his reservation by phone & requested the military discount, which he'd been given on all previous stays. He was told he should ask for that when he checked in. Upon checking in, he was told he should have done that when he made the reservation & that they would not be honoring that request. When he went to his room, he found the bathroom had not been cleaned. I was waiting for him in the lobby as he showed the desk clerk a photo of the bathroom, and she yelled for all guests to hear, "That is disgusting!" And speaking of the desk clerk, it was difficult to identify hotel staff from guests: jeans, shorts, sneakers, no ID badges. When my friend asked to speak with the manager, he was told he'd have to wait: There was a line of guests waiting to speak with him! He was told the manager would be in the next day at 9:00 a.m. But when my friend asked to see him at approximately 10:00 a.m. that day, he was told the manager had left for the day. The clerk gave my friend the manager's email address & was told to send him an email, so he'd know what was to be discussed. The manager was also not available the next day. My friend said the fitness room was missing equipment from his previous stays & that what little food was provided for breakfast was cold and/or burned. Oh, and my friend checked out yesterday morning about 11:00 a.m.; he still hasn't heard from the manager. He will never stay there again & I will tell all friends & family to find a different hotel.

Everything that was available was great. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a hotel. Parking on site was fantastic and very convenient for the location.

The hallways and guest rooms were nice and cool. The staff was available anytime we needed them. Parking was easy this time. Pain for was interesting, there’s a QR code. You used to stop and grab a ticket. It is a big hotel, it’s in a great location, it’s a great value! The bed was soft and comfortable, and the pillows were awesome! On weekdays breakfast is over at 9 AM, likeall the Hyatt hotels, and I always wish it would run later. Highly recommend this location in Bloomington

Great location, outstanding service and breakfast included. Love staying in the heart of downtown. Easy walk to great night life and fabulous bars and restaurants. Hotel staff is amazing and breakfast buffet is included
