The hotel was close to the train station. The staff were professional at all times. The room was spacious.
The hotel did not respond to any of my requests via Booking.com. I had requested in advance a room away from the train line, but this did not eventuate. There was a significant amount of noise due to a late arriving train which I was only informed about once I had entered the room. This information should have been given to customers in advance to decide whether or not they should select this hotel.
the staff got us a small refrigerator for our medicine right away
breakfast downstairs, access to elevator can get busy
nada
Came with Road Scholar. They booked us into Casa Andina. We were without A/C so slept with the window open. Up until about 10 pm we heard continual announcements from the railroad. Around midnight a train came thru-- less than 10 feet from our room. You can imagine the noise! And then an 2nd train came around 2:30 am. This was the night before we were scheduled to visit Machu Picchu. Horrible experience. To anyone booking this hotel, DO NOT let them put you on the side of the hotel where the railroad tracks are unless you are deaf.
They burly speak English
Nada a declarar
We were only able to book the twin room which was a bit small and assiduous, with some railroad noise. But the reception desk Chaki Travel was super helpful for us to upgrade to the superior room facing the water stream, which is fabulous with beautiful views and natural white noise. The location is right near the train station and the bus station to Machu Picchu. Overall was a great experience and highly recommend the superior room facing the water side.
The superior room facing the water side is fabulous.
The twin room facing the rails is a bit small and noisy.
