It was affordable and smelled cleaned

Cons:

The elevator is awful, thought i was going to get trapped inside. Bathroom fan is so loud. Employees yelling in the hallway for long period of time.

Good nights sleep
Pros:

Comfortable bed! Quiet. Convenient location near shopping center with various food options. Upgraded outlets with plenty of connections for electronic devices. Affordably priced. We just needed a place to sleep for 1 night after flying into Portland.

Cons:

This is an older motel. Age is showing in the hallways, lobby and elevator. Musty/disinfectant smell. Accommodations are not fancy, very basic.

Smelly hallways and lobby, uncomfortable bed and miserable staff is not worth the cheap price.
Pros:

I liked electricity. I liked wifi. I liked a roof.

Cons:

I've stayed in cheap accommodation that had some kind of charm and some nice things. Maybe the room looks old, but the bed is comfortable and the room is clean. Or staff is friendly, and the breakfast is nice. There is usually some charm to feel inviting. Not this place. I needed a cheap room before moving into my apartment, but I hit my limit with this place.

Staff didn't clean rooms unless I nicely asked staff to come change the bed. Staff would come in and change towels but not clean the bed. Towels would be piled on the bathroom sink and not hung up. The waiting area smelled like vomit and stale beer. The hallway carpets smelled as well.

For two days, I had no shower curtain, and I asked two mornings in a row for shower curtain. I got a shower curtain when I found a housekeeper who struggled to communicate with me and I pointed out the missing shower curtain. They provide bar soap and nothing else to shower with. The shower head was dirty and didn't spray well. The shower had hot water at least.

Front of house staffed looked depressed and miserable which I understand because the environment made me feel miserable. Trying to engage in small talk, I was asked to apply for job for night staff. It seemed like a friendly exchange but I also asked for a shower curtain that morning and by the evening, I still didn't have a shower curtain.

The king size bed creaked and shifted when I turned over at night. I've never slept on a king size bed that could shift left and right from me turning over. I'm 190lbs. Half the lights in the room were broken. There was no refrigerator, microwave, coffee and there was a sign reminded people that if they took any item out of the room, they bought it. Did people steal the microwave and refrigerator from this room? On the morning of checkout, there was no hot water in the whole building, and I found out when I heard the front of house in an argument with a guest over the phone.
