Motel 6-Portland, ME

The property is used as temp/emergency accommodation, it smells like urine and is unclean. We were originally given a key to a room that was already occupied, fortunately we heard people inside and didn’t enter. Our room didn’t deadbolt from the inside and so we felt unsafe and that the room may not be secure if we left our belongings there.

Hallways smelled musty, tile falling off shower and no shower head. This place could use alot of work.

Everything. I didn't feel safe. The toilet didn't flush. The bathroom needed to be clean. No mirror except in bathroom. TV was big but only had a few channels that worked.

Very dirty, clogged sink, couldn’t even wash our hands,light by the door didn’t work, sticky floor. No fridge, no facilities, just a little soap. Bathtub and sink had hair on. AC and bathroom light was extremely noisy and disturbing. The hallway and elevator were extremely dirty and smelled like dirty bathrooms everywhere.

The motel smelled really bad on the floor we stayed on. It smelled old and moldy. The room was so humid that the towels did not dry from day to day. There was a couple holes in the wall and the room was not great for customers. The hallway outside smelled like pot also.

This is not a place I would recommend. There is a strip club directly across the street. When I checked in, my room was not ready or properly prepared. The front desk employee appeared to be under the influence, which was very concerning. I also witnessed what appeared to be drug use in the parking lot, and there were people sleeping in their cars. Overall, I did not feel safe or comfortable during my stay, and the experience was very disappointing.

Everything was bad they gave us room on ground floor and they ran out of lock keys so we had to ask the employee over and over to open the door for us every time we left the room, there were no blankets in room so they gave us used comforter it had hair on it. Bathroom was bad and not clean whatsoever, it was dust every where even on the seat. Sink kept getting clogged, the shower area was so bad we didn’t feel like take shower it was really bad stay we just slept and left first thing in the morning. We paid 157 dollars per night and it was not worth a penny, as female tourists we felt really uncomfortable with door stuff.
