We came back to this hotel for the second year in a row — and I think that fact alone says more than any review could. Because this is much more than a place to spend the night. It’s the unique atmosphere, the attention to detail, the people, and the feeling you get from the moment you arrive. It’s what makes this place truly special and makes you want to come back.
I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Zermatt.

Our reservation for four people and two rooms didn’t go through the system to the hotel and they charged us extra for two people. Make sure you specify all guests on bookings platform.
We had an amazing stay at the Matterhorn Lodge. The location is right in the center of Zermatt, the room was very comfortable, clean and spacious with a little view of the Matterhorn which made it even more special. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious - George made sure all of our wants were met. The staff overall was very attentive and full of good recommendations. We even spent our last day enjoying the wonderful spa - the perfect way to end a hiking day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing by Zermatt!

I think it's an average swiss hotel. It provides what you need to the average level but there's nothing memorable.
The breakfast selection is not generous at all.
This is a beautiful lodge in a great location. The small spa in the basement was terrific and the patio with views was delightful.
Be aware that there is no separation of the bathroom/shower from the sleeping area. Depending on who you are traveling with this may be an uncomfortable situation. Also some rooms have no view, windows have no screens so opening them for ventilation on the ground floor lead to insects and a cat coming to call.
What an amazing hotel! Everything was excellent. Staff was friendly and the rooms were great! Hope to go back in the winter for a ski trip! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

This is the most adorable boutique hotel. So many special touches and charm. Room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and the service was first class. The view of the Matterhorn is amazing!!!! I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
