Cons:

Everything. Rooms are filthy, none of the air conditioning working, staff is not professional or friendly. We went to check in at around 4pm but the rooms were not ready. The lady was moaning about her lunch which she couldn’t have yet due to busy lunch time, but didn’t see any customers around. Bird poo around and inside the pool and it was very filthy. Very disgusting place.

Relaxed and pleasant budget accomodation in the outer regions of Sri Lanka.
Pros:

It was a relaxed atmosphere.
Access to beach. Nice pool although chlorine was strong.
Nice food. Brilliant sunsets.

Cons:

It was dated and with a little bit more effort it could be really special. A little more attention to detail on presentation. Communication was minimal. We had to ask everything, no information was given to us.

Excellent
Pros:

We have very much enjoyed ending our month in Sri Lanka at The Amagi Beach Hotel.

It is in a very quiet neighbourhood, which is exactly what we wanted. The beach, pool, staff and food (prepared by Ruwun) have all been excellent and we haven’t wanted for anything.

There was a slight problem with our booking which was address by the management and overcome quickly and agreeably.

I would like to especially thank Malani and Thushan for looking after us.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend to friends and family.
