Bonjour Les chambres du bas donc la mienne ses odeurs de canalisation c est une horreur au petit déjeuner la personne qui s occupe des omelettes pas un seul sourire ni bonjour par contre TAIAS à l accueil elle est juste exceptionnelle elle nous a permis de rendre notre séjour plus agréable c est une perle elle connaît le pays par cœur et grâce à elle on n a fait des belles découvertes pour finir le restaurant de l hotel est très cher

Heel.goede ligging, in levendige buurt. Toch rustig in de mooie tuin met zwembad. Mooie gebouwtjes. Heel leuk restaurantterrasje voor het ontbijt. Zeer lekker en vers ontbijt.

Pros:

I loved everything about this hotel the staff could not do enough for us, the pools and the breakfast. The whole setting of this hotel is fabulous you can see the huge new builds around but they will never have the character of this hotel. I hope I get back there some day

Great location, enjoyed the ocean side pool area, nicely renovated bedroom albeit quite minimalist.

Cons:

Breakfast disappointing. Limited choice,
There was a bird of prey with its handler in the Breakfast room on one of the days. Unfair on guests trying to chose food, unfair on the bird. Rather unhygienic I think.

Unterschiedliche Pools, einen eigenen am Meer mit Salzwasser und direktem Zugang zum Meer.
Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und mit grosser Auswahl.

Cons:

Das hoteleigene Seafood-Restaurant "Rivus" am Meer hat ein angenehmes Ambiente, jedoch wurde das Essen kalt serviert. Was bei allen 8 Personen negativ aufgefasst wurde.

Charming hotel
Pros:

We booked through EasyJet holidays and stayed in a superior twin with balcony on a B&B basis. We stayed in the Quinta da Penha de França hotel, although we also made use of the neighbouring Penha de França Mar hotel.
The hotel is charmingly old fashioned, and has a lot more character than the more modern hotels. It has attractive buildings and lovely shady gardens. Our room was large and the balcony had a view of the sea through the trees.
The staff were very welcoming and polite about my feeble attempts to speak a few words of Portuguese.
There were a wide range of options for breakfast, and we enjoyed sitting outside each morning, watching the visiting hawk, who is brought in to keep the pigeons away. Get there early if you want one of the tiny natas. They are divine.
We stayed in May and found both swimming pools to be pretty cold. The one at the Quinta is unheated and was a bracing 18C. The one at França Mar was a little more bearable at 20C.
We loved the ridiculous fruity constructions in our cocktails in Joe’s bar and enjoyed a very amateurish game of snooker in the strange-smelling billiards bar (I think it’s a mixture of tobacco smoke and taxidermy!)
One evening, we ate at the Rivus restaurant, sitting outside, looking out to sea. Service was slow initially but, once we’d encouraged them to take our drinks order, everything flowed very well after that. We had the local scabbard fish, which was absolutely delicious, with a bottle of house white, which was perfectly ok.
I would 100% stay here again.

Localização excelente num alojamento muito aprazivel
Pros:

Pequeno almoço bom, localização excelente. Ter uma boa piscina com acesso ao mar também foi excelente para repousar um pouco após as visitas da lindissíma Ilha da Madeira.

Cons:

Os funcionários do bar da piscina do Penha Quinta de França, one fiquei hospedado, eram pouco atenciosos e pouco presentes, entretinham-se muito a discutir uns com os outros. No café da manhã havia a única funcionária que ali nos atendeu de uma antipatia absurda a ponto de nós termos passado a ir tomar o pequeno almoço no Quinta Penha de França, alguns metros acima.
