Lovely stay in a clean and bright room
Pros:

A really great stay. Lovely staff. Breakfast was really nice. Room was bright, modern and clean. Great to have a full fridge in room. Fab view of the sea. The hotel was a really pleasant surprise and great value for money. Will definitely return.

Cons:

Parking was a bit of a lottery! But stayed three nights and managed to get a spot in front of hotel each night. Parking is tricky everywhere on Portland though.

Pros:

Always love coming here. The rooms are clean, tidy and the staff are helpful. We especially loved Polly the Parott! We had breakfast there, which helped us start our day!

Great spot for exploring Portland and Chesil Beach.
Pros:

The location was great for us. We loved the helicopters landing nearby, and the excitement of the docked big ships and boat yards. There were a few little bays within walking distance where you could get in the water. Fab for going onto Portland too.
Our room was at the front, so we could see the sea. Bath AND shower, cotton bedding and comfy beds. Fridge AND small freezer was handy.
Very helpful and friendly receptionist when we arrived, and the breakfast lady was super-thank you!

Cons:

The room was basic and small for 2 of us. Parking was an issue, (the company opposite had most of the spaces), and blocked us in one day. Neighbours noisy, and nobody cared about not banging the doors! There was a lot of noise outdoors at times - big trucks passing by late at night and early morning, and loud drinking going on. Castletown was tired and old, (but we liked the character and history of it). Could do with 2 bedside lights for a twin room, not one.

Pros:

The location was perfect and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Cons:

Ok for a short stay only as no space to hang more than 4 items in the room rather than in a wardrobe.
