Pros:

Fabulous views over Newquay. Staff were very friendly.

Cons:

Recently changed ownership and didnt like some of the changes- not made for the better we felt. Eg breakfast is now buffet style. Bedroom- very tired, bathroom had broken tiles and split bath panel. Sink didnt hold the water as the plug didnt work.

Wij kijken terug op een mooi en probleemloos verblijf.
Pros:

Ligging, uitzicht op zee en ruimtelijke mogelijkheden van de kamer

Cons:

Alles was geheel naar wens, het enige puntje van aandacht was het feit dat de vloer van de badkamer tijdens ons 10-daags verblijf niet één keer is schoongemaakt. Dit heeft ons verblijf niet echt gestoord en verder was de service prima.
Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Perfect for beach holiday in beautiful setting.
Pros:

Lovely building with views all round to the sea. Spacious bedroom with views and the added bonus of a cool pool.

Cons:

Could have done with the towels/sheets/tea cups refreshing at least once in the four days.

Ein toll gelegenes Hotel, dass in einigen Punkten seinem Selbstverständnis nicht gerecht wird
Pros:

Das Atlantic Hotel liegt absolut fantastisch oben auf einer Klippe über Newquay. In 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Stadt und ebenso schnell an Fistral Beach und auf dem Pentire Point (Empfehlung für Sonnenuntergänge). Das Hotel macht für die dem Wetter doch sehr exponierte Lage einen insgesamt guten Eindruck. Einen gewissen "Wear & Tear" kann man aber nicht verheimlichen. Das Personal war überwiegend nett und hilfsbereit, gerade beim Frühstück aber teils auch etwas überfordert. Unser Kühlschrank im Zimmer war kaputt und wurde sehr zügig getauscht, das war auch nicht selbstverständlich. Wir hatten ein "Deluxe Seaview" Zimmer, dass dem Namen entsprochen hat. Tolle Aussicht, sehr gute Zimmergröße, schönes Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne. Der Parkplatz ist je nach Belegung und Fahrskills ganz gut, aber auch eng und kurvig. Muss man ein bisschen können (was bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht für alle Gäste zutraf).

Cons:

Wir waren hier während einer Hitzewelle 2026 und es war im Zimmer kaum auszuhalten. Keiner kann etwas für das Wetter, aber die Fenster ließen sich nur wenige Zentimeter öffnen und es gab weder Klimaanlage noch Ventilatoren. Bei einem Hotel, das sich als gehoben versteht, erwarte ich mehr als einen bedauernden Blick für ein über 30 grad warmes Zimmer. Apropos Zimmer. Wir sind davon ausgegangen, dass wir ein Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht hätten, da dies hier bei Booking und auch auf der Website des Hotels mit den Fotos dort sehr eindeutig war. Es ist aber eine andere Kategorie. Also schaut genau hin, was ihr bucht und fragt im Zweifel vorher nochmal nach. Für uns gab es auch hier nur einen bedauernden Blick. Übrigens auch dafür, dass wir Sand von vorherigen Bewohnern in der Badewanne hatten, der bis zur Abreise (nach 4 Nächten) nicht entfernt wurde und dafür, dass einer der Knöpfe der Dusche so kaputt war, dass man sich daran verletzen konnte. Sowas ist einfach nicht der Anspruch, den sich die Betreiber stellen sollten.

Es gibt nur sehr wenige Außensitzplätze, die nicht zum Bistro gehören. Und diese waren meist nicht zugänglich, da die Terrasse fast durchgehend von Veranstaltungen blockiert war. Zuguterletzt war das recht teure Frühstück sehr sehr mittelmäßig. Die einzelnen Posten waren okay, die Auswahl aber klein und eben (unterer) Durchschnitt.

The room was a harbor view on third floor was lovely the breakfast was the best breakfast i have ever had in a hotel was a lovey 1 night stay

The check in was late didnt check in after 4 but we could have a cream tea or a free drink which was a nice touch would i stay again 100 percent
