Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choices. Room was lovely and big. Very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The shower control was stiff and the cover for the waste was loose. However there was plenty of hot water.
Parking is an issue although we were lucky to find a space.

The location by the sea. The staff & breakfast was good.
Very old hotel, over 130 years old. The present owners have neglected the property. A lot need doing & renovating, but they are leaving it for the new owners to handle. Booked harbour view room, but couldn’t see any harbour or water, could only see roof tops. On first morning, my wife, who’s disabled, got burnt while having shower because when she turned the shower on, the water was very hot, she tried turning the temperature knob, but it was so stiff that she couldn’t turn it & also couldn’t jump out of shower due to her mobility issues , so got burnt. I have strong hands, even I found it so hard to turn the knobs. The rail that was put inside shower, was a sticky one, not screwed, it came out & fell on the floor, when my wife tried to grab it. She just got saved from having a very nasty accident. Also the sink was moving & was about to fall down. Then, in the evening when we came back to the hotel, we were told that the lift wasn’t working & the engineer was coming in half an hour to fix it, so we had to wait in the restaurant area. After waiting for more than an hour we were then told by the receptionist that engineer would taker even longer to come. We were so tired & were waiting on a filthy broken sofa, which looked like never been used for a long time, just for lift to be fixed. We then found out that the hotel doesn’t even have the fire evacuation chair, which is against the fire regulations. When we had no other way or place to spend the night, we had to decide to dump the holiday & drive back home to Coventry, which took us nearly 6 hours & we arrived back home around 4am. This hotel is filthy, there was no staff in the spa area, the floor was wet & dirty, anybody could easily slip & hurt themselves. Don’t get fooled like us that it’s a very quality 4* hotel, like it was seen in some videos on youtube. It isn’t. Avoid it.

The staff make this hotel great, with top notch customer service. Michelle on reception was more than accommodating - I had a couple of issues that concerned me with my current health condition and she went above and beyond to compensate this. Finley/Finlay was also very patient and supportive with my dietary issues and made it as comfortable for me as possible. Wes was also accommodating and allowed us to eat our meal on the sofa section due to my health condition causing some discomfort. The chefs created an amazing meal for both myself and my partner - we cannot praise the food enough - and furthermore the breakfast and breakfast staff were also really lovely. The staff and food were the highlights of this stay and they made it really comfortable and pleasant.
The hotel itself is a little outdated, there are some things that need to be addressed. I believe they are aware of this and after taking over new management only 4 weeks ago, I am excited to come back in the future and see how they transform these things for an even better stay.

The decor was a bit dated but was in keeping with the building and everything was in good repair.
Great location, close to many beaches and walking distance to the town centre. Beautiful sea views and we especially enjoyed our breakfast with a view. Staff were very helpful and polite.
No air conditioning, but fans were provided and with the windows open there was a nice breeze.
Shower, spacious room and it had a fridge. Staff were all very friendly.
Parking situation, Limited spaces for people staying at the hotel. Choice and quality of breakfast on offer. Would have expected bed to be made up and towels to be replaced without having to ask. Seaview view was questionable.
