Big rooms
The front desk staff was not very friendly
Calme, propreté, personnel souriant et professionnel
De slaapbank lag heerlijk! .
The bed, the cleanliness, the staff, 24/7 snack bar
The shower cubicle is higher than the floor, a bit too high. Can be hazardous - especially for older guests.
The hotel was close to the central train station and it was easy to reach the different types of public transportation. The hotel itself and the rooms are very clean and comfortable! The reception staff was helpful and nice.
On the website and in the Booking.com description as well it is stated that check-in is from 2PM. This means that all rooms should be ready by 2PM. I arrived at 3.45PM and was informed my room wouldn't be ready before 6PM. This is absolutely unacceptable. I needed to attend an event and wanted to get ready in my room. I didn't have the luxury to do so. It was not the staff's fault, of course!! I work as a receptionist as well and I understand the staff is only following the hotel's policy. I didn't complain directly to the staff, because I understand the situation. The receptionists were very nice and helpful and found a solution for me to get ready and stored my luggage until I came back to the hotel.
However this policy and situagion are not acceptable! I had reserved my room since January and the hotel was aware of the big event taking place in the city, as well as of the fact that they would be sold out for the event's dates. They should have prepared in advance to be able to host such a big number of guests and guarantee everyone their rooms from 2PM as stated above.
Very comfortable and clean, had everything we needed. Staff was very nice as well and all the facilities were great.
Dicht bij het station. Schone mooie kamer
Het is een luxe hotel in een ghetto.
Close to Brussels midi station
The area is a bit eerie. The rooms are a bit outdated and minimal toiletries
This was the most bizarre hotel experience I've ever had in my life. Outside the hotel (which is not their fault) are extreme road works and it's very dirty and not a place to go after dark.
The rooms themselves are actually very nice and clean, and the air conditioning was amazing and worked like a dream. The hotel had a power cut when I was there and there was no communication or protocols. I cut my foot in the shower when the lights went off and the receptionist working and in charge could not have cared less about anything and was almost laughing at the situation. There was a junior receptionist working who was super kind and helpful which is crazy that his senior was standing there not trying to help. I reported the incident to the night receptionist who was super kind and helpful. But the hotel manager never reached out. When I asked why nobody had reached out he flipped at me, became very aggressive, told me "me and my colleagues have been discussing you and think you're looking for a problem"- power cut and cut foot- really wasn't looking for a problem. He laughed at me when I told him I was autistic and asked if I needed a translator into English, called me a drunk and then only spoke to me in French. I made a complaint to the hotel via email and after a week haven't received a reply. The reception staff on check out were fantastic and very kind(as had the night receptionist been until his switch flipped) as was the junior evening receptionist. So overall nice comfortable rooms, questionable neighbourhood and some staff super kind and professional, and the others not caring and aggressive and intimating
The staff were very good . Enrique helped get everything sorted . Mounira was always friendly and helpful .
The sofa bed in room 109 needs some serious fixing . I would suggest someone lies down on it to see what I mean .
l'accueil chaleureux
la chambre n'a pas de babouches.
