Great location
Pros:

Located 10 minutes from Bruxelles Midi station and about 20 minutes walk from Grand Place. Lounge areas and courtyard were well kept. There's a gym and wellness suite available too for guests. 24 hour reception and quick check out via a key drop. Staff provided a map when we asked if they had one so we could explore the local area. Lots of halal food places on the main road to grand place and also cakes and pastry shops were the food was really cheap to buy and delicious.

Cons:

The hotel is located right next to some works which does give the outside area a very run down feeling. Our twin room had a separate toilet to the bathroom and sink which is really odd, you use the toilet then go to another room to wash your hands. Only one free water and shower cap for two paying guests over 2 nights was provided. The shower wasn't cleaned after the first night stay and the toilet had hairs on it when we arrived so not the cleanest place from a housekeeping perspective. Twin beds were nice and long but a bit small width wise.

Easily located near Brussels station and Metro, but be mindful at night as the street can be dodgy.
Pros:

It is located in the centre of Brussels. However in a dodgy street, where i wouldn’t go out at night alone.
Friendly staff!

Cons:

The mattress was so hard to sleep on!

In the bathroom, I am pretty sure someone vomited and the wall wasn’t cleaned properly as stains were left.

Mercure sets a good standard.
Pros:

Hotel was very good, we love a Mercure and this didn’t disappoint. Staff were lovely.

Cons:

Location was a bit pants. While it was a city location, to get to the touristy centre was a 30 min walk and the area round the hotel was a building site.
